Chapter 1

I flopped to my side on my bed, leaning under my bed to grab my laptop. I set it down on my bed and opened it up, Twitter already opened. Instantly my notification went off indicating that Luke Hemmings tweeted something.

'Here we come Cali!

My eyes widened as soon as I read that. They're coming to California. I snatched my up and clicked my best friend, Mia's contact and FaceTimed her. I waited about a second or so until she answered. Her face popped up on the screen and as soon as I saw her I started freaking out.

"FIVE SECONDS OF SUMMER ARE COMING HERE! OH MY GOD I'M SOBBING MIA HOLD MEH!" I screamed and her eyes widened.

"HOLY MOTHER OF ALL MAGICAL UNICORNS!" She screamed back, me nodding along in agreement.

"THE LORD OF MY PENGUIN BABIES AND SPAGHETTI BUFFETS! HOLY CRAP I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!" I fell back on my bed, bring my phone with me.

"I wish we could go see them." Mia said disappointed.

"I know, but my mom can't afford it. And we all know how your parents are." She nodded along, rolling her eyes in the process. Mia's parents are probably the most overprotected parents you will meet. They refused to let her walk to school in high school even though they lived a block away from the school because they thought she would get raped or something.

"Why don't you ask your grandma?" Mia suggested, "She's like, filthy rich."

"I could, but there's two problems. I'm not going without you, and she hates me." I pointed out, Mia showing sympathy and disappointment on her face.

I sighed trying to think of ways we could go see them. But we were out of luck.

"Hey maybe if we tweeted them like all those fans do and ask for tickets." Mia joked, me rolling my eyes in the process.

"Yeah but that never happens."

"It has before. A few fans have gotten tickets from them." She pointed out.

"I'll do it, but its obviously not going happen." I picked up my laptop and quickly tweeted to Ashton Irwin, the drummer of the band.

'I wish I could come to one of your shows :('

"There I did it. Hes not gonna answer, let alone see it." I rolled my eyes.

"You're right. But its worth a shot." I nodded with Mia.

"We should hang out." I suggested.

"I'm on my way." Mia winked, hanging up. I laughed and set my phone down on my night stand, quickly plugging it in to the charger.

I walked out of my room, heading downstairs to the kitchen where I heard talking. I walked into the kitchen where I saw my mom and her therapist, Ms. Ashley talking.

"Hey Kenzi, how are you?" Ms. Ashley smiled.

"I'm good, how about you?" I asked sweetly.

"Oh I'm good, just talking to your mom about your father Jeffery." I stiffened as his name left her mouth.

'Oh." I nodded numbly. I opened the fridge and grabbed an apple, taking a bite out of it and turning around. I was about to walk out of the kitchen when Ms. Ashley sighed.

"I know its a sensitive thing for you to talk about, but I feel like once you talk about it you'll feel much better." I turned and glared at her.

"I'm sorry to be mean, but you don't know crap about me and I would like to keep it that way." I said and turned, taking a proud bite out of my apple.

*^*^*

"She she totally got all up in your business!" Mia ranted. I laughed and sat down on the floor against the wall. Why? I don't know.

"Its not important." Mia turned and gave me a 'stfu I'm talking' look.

"It is important, if you have told her before that you don't want to talk about your dad then she should leave it along." Mia blew up, being cut off by my twitter notification sound.

"Look at that for me." I said, distracted by an Instagram post that Ashton posted.

"Whats your password?" Mia asked, opening up my laptop.

"January280." I answered, liking his Instagram post.

"Back to what I was saying," Mia continued as she was trying to get onto twitter, "She has no right to jump to conclusions like you would want to talk about it. I get its her job but as her job isn't she supposed to listen to people. She obviously didn't listen to you in the first pla-" Suddenly Mia stopped.

I looked up at her to see her staring at my laptop screen, eyes wide, and mouth wide open.

"What?" I asked, confused as to why she suddenly stopped. Plus I was curious as to why she was staring at my computer like it just threatened to murder a puppy.

 "He tweeted back."
