A cold wind hit the castle. Charming felt Snow shivering next to him and pulled the covers closer to her. He glanced down at her sleeping form and frowned, lost in thoughts. Then, his eyes drifted towards the open window inf front of their bed.
It was weird how the weather would constantly change. Since they arrived at Maleficent't castle, the temperature lowered considerably. Now, it was almost cold enough to bother him.
He was still disturbed by the state Snow had arrived their room earlier. His wife told him what happened with Regina. Now they were sure Regina had sacrificed her own father to get her revenge.
Frankly, he still didn't trust the queen fully. He knew she was willing to change, but he wondered if such thing was actually possible.
How could someone who had killed her own father in order to hurt someone else change? Will Regina someday become a hero like Henry always said?
He wasn't sure.
David stood slowly not to awake his wife and moved towards the old balcony in their room. He couldn't sleep, there was a lot on his mind.
In fact, the queen's honor was the last disturbing thing crossing his mind now. Ever since Rumple explained the spell behind the urn, he started to pay attention at everything. If he had got it right, the spell would bring up the worst in people.
Giving the fact that their group was a massive mix of volatile personalities with completely different opinions, he feared this whole situation would lead to a bigger problem. They had worked hard to get where they were now, and he didn't want a spell to erase all the effort they had put into it.
They were finally living like a family. The Wicked Witch episode had helped them unite, and he feared this mission would tear them apart.
Considering the Shattered Sight's effect, Charming couldn't help but notice his weird behavior sometimes - like right now. Sighing tiredly, he realized it wasn't like him being awake at this hour. Everybody was sleeping and there he was, thinking about how the others would fail.
Since when Prince Charming distrusted his friends? His family?
Reluctantly, David walked back to his room and laid in bed next to his sleeping wife. He smiled at her relaxed face and gently kissed her forehead.
An hour later, he was finally asleep.

The night fell fast, and the thunders started to echo into the castle walls. The only sound to be heard came from the storm outside. However, a small cry came from her dungeons.
Apparently, her captive was sobbing so hard that the sound was able to reach the safety of her vault, bothering Regina. Groaning in annoyance, the queen stood up and placed her spell book down on one of the many shelves in the cold room.
Regina glanced at her reflex in one of her big mirrors. After taking a good look at her appearance, an evil smirk appeared on her lips. Her mother would be proud. She was stunning and became really powerful after Leopold's death. She was the queen without a king to share the throne. She could do whatever she wanted.
Another cry was heard.
Rolling her eyes, the queen left the room, headed to the dungeons. The place was cold, and she could almost smell the fear and misery coming out of her detents.
What a pity, she though.
Regina walked through the cells as regal as possible, the air of superiority emanating from her body. The man must have heard her coming, she no longer heard his cries. The queen smiled as spotted his terrified expression, his eyes glued on hers. She let out an evil laugh and looked down with disgust.
