Keyisha POV
My alarm went of at 9 and I stayed in bed for a whole hour and a half thinking about how today would go. Would it be good? bad? Would more bad be done than good? Who knows but I knew that I had to do this before he left considering I didn't even know if he was coming.
I had told Antonio that I was meeting up with Michael to talk, according to him they hadn't been talking as much as they usually were so he figured is talking was a good thing.
I finally pushed myself out of bed to get ready and to have a little to eat before leaving. I showered and brushed and now I stood in front of my closet wondering what to wear. I wasn't trying to impress him or anything but I don't know it felt like old feelings coming back which wasn't allowed. So I pushed these feelings away and got into a romper with my tims and looked like I always did.
Chris Brown blasted through the speakers in my car as I drove to Tim Hortons and once I finally parked in the parking lot I cut the engine off and just sat there. What was I suppose to say, we had barely talked in the past few months and I guess this time was bound to come.
Walking in I noticed Michael from the door, his tousled up brown hair and the way his shoulders were high and built. I saw his muscles move under his shirt as he took a sip from his drink and all the memories of us flowed through my memory.
I jumped in line to grab myself a frozen lemonade before talking to him and since his back was to me he hadn't seen me yet which was good.
"I thought you weren't gonna show up." I heard behind me as I got my straw. His voice echoed through my brain. It felt deeper and it was slower. His voice made my heart pound faster and I had to push myself back into the reality of now.
"No of course not, I just wanted to get a drink for this hot weather." I smiled.
He returned the smirk, his panty dropping smirk that every girl fell for including me. His brown eyes sparkled as he looked at me and he looked happy to see me.
"Wanna go for a walk?" He asked as he took a sip from his ice cap.
"Yeah sure." I responded. We headed for the door and I let him lead the way.
We were headed in the direction of the school I suppose we were going to walk the field. I hadn't been there in months. All I could think about are the times that we walked here together, so into each other, had we been in love? Who knew.
"How was your exam?" I asked as we were on the outskirts of the field.
"It was okay, not to bad but you know still an exam." He responded, "How about you, how have your exams been going?"
"They've been okay, I've only had one so just waiting to do the other next week." I answered. I saw him bob his head in response to hearing what I said.
We reached a big tree further away from the school and took a seat. There was a bench there I suppose someone donated it to the school for this purpose.
The birds chirped as we sat in the shade. The cars sounds a far away sound. I looked at Michael, like really looked at him. I knew why I fell for him. I knew what I saw in him. Even if Katerina didn't and Sade hated him I still fell for him and I don't regret a single bit of it. He was perfect to me. The intellect, how athletic he was, the way he laughed, his smile. I fell for all of it and not just for the sake that he was Michael, one of the populars and one of the best party throwers, but because I saw the beauty in him.
"So how've you been?"
His voice drew me out of my thoughts as I continued to look at him.
"Um good, aha nothing has really changed, how about you?" I asked back not knowing what to say.
