„Here Tracey, that will help you to walk.” I looked at her and gave her the crutches.
“Do you know when I ever will be able to walk normally?” She asked worried and looked at her high heels lying in the corner of the room.
“Don´t worry, you only have to wear those bandages for six weeks and then you´re free but I am thinking you shouldn’t wear those heels anymore? When you once broke an ankle it will never be the same and the ankle will break easier. So just don’t wear those 6 inches ones for maybe a half of a year?” I suggested. This is nothing personal or something, she just has to buckle a bit to one side and her ankle is broken again.
“WHAT NO!” She protested. “I have to wear my precious babies! I need them!”
“Babe the only thing you need right now is rest so that your ankle gets better soon.” Will said without hesitation. It was more painful for him seeing Tracey hurt than it actually is for her.
“He is right. Will should bring you to your room or your home and you need to lay down, let the ankle heal. Normally in a hospital you would lay there for three or four weeks with a broken ankle. So NO movement, understood Tracey?!” She nodded sadly but in agreement and I looked up at Will. His face was frowned and he had worry in his eyes.
“Ok then we better go.” He said and tried to help Tracey with the crutches. “I am going to visit you the next few weeks and look if everything is alright. But be careful, I can see if you moved or overpowered your ankle.” I looked at her with a serious look and put my gloves off. I turned around, threw them in the bin and turned my head back around, Tracey was walking and nearly by the door but without Will.
“Thank you Amy.” A deep husky voice said behind me, I turned around in shock, not expecting this to happen. Will was standing there.
“It´s so great that you came back. Not only because we all missed you, because you are a real help and a gift.” He said and hugged me. I hugged him back a little surprised. I didn’t know they saw me as gift.
“You´re welcome and you don’t have to thank me Will, it´s natural. But how did she fell? Rob said she buckled her foot when she wore the high heels but it’s nearly impossible to get your ankle that broken in such shoes…” I got out of the hug and looked at him, confused and worried.
He looked at Tracey who was standing in the door not smiling. Frowning. What have I now done? I helped you girl, I saved your ass! Be thankful for God’s sake. You didn’t even tell me how it happened and apparently Will is not the only one who can´t use their mouth to explain. If I would have met her in real life first I probably wouldn´t like her. She is annoying, mean and is fishing for complements and attention. But however she is Will´s mate so I have to be friends with her. It would destroy the whole pack chemistry if two couldn’t talk normally with each other, everybody would think of us as drama queens and it wouldn’t be good for my doctor´s carrier.
Mates are your perfect match and are the same as you are. I hope Will doesn’t have that gene. How would my mate be? Working as a doctor like me? However I am not thinking about that. I will find my mate when I need to and right now I don’t need one.
Will smiled at me apologizing and went after her without telling me anything. He just whispered a “Tell you later” and went.
After they left I quickly put all stuff together that was lying around and sterilized the table for more cases in the future, you never know when the next accident happens. I walked out of the room, and walked towards the kitchen to get a coke or a coffee or water or whatever. That girl was playing with my nerves and I can´t say when I am going to explode and slap her really really hard.
