Chapter Ten

She stood up. She looked down and felt confident. It looked like no one ever laid on or even used it.

She stood tall; too tall. She walked into the bathroom, and started brushing her teeth. She then dressed herself; she chose to wear dark jeans and a colorful shirt; like Amy would've chosen any other day.

And she was Amy still. She still was as tall, had still she same brown hair and the same blue eyes. She still looked like her. Just her face wasn't showing any emotion. Any kind of happiness, anger or frustration.

Before she walked out of the room, she turned around and looked at the perfectly clean room. Everything was how she first saw it: flawless.

She walked downstairs, perfectly tall. She left the house, closed the door and just walked outside.

"Oh come on Amy, open the door! I know you are awake and can hear me! Amy!" Alex knocked on her door again. And again. She locked her door, which she usually never does.

"Amy" knock. "Come on. My hands hurt from all the knocking - just open the door."

"I really need to speak to you. Also it's nearly 11 am and Maddison says that you need to come down in the next five minutes if you want to eat something." Knock. Knock.

David came down the stairs from the floor above while putting his jacket on. Just when Alex knocked again he saw him standing there and got suspicious.

"Why isn't she opening?" He asked confused. "Had you guys a fight or something?"

"No not at all, Maddison just sent me up to get her or at least tell her that if she wants to eat breakfast she should come downstairs, quickly."

"And why isn't she opening? She always gets up the quickst, she should be awake for hours." David answered.

„Maybe she's just asleep or dresses herself while having headphones on. Maybe I am just being paranoid." Alex answered and looked at David.

"Yeah probably. Maybe she just wanted to sleep longer and didn't want to be woken up by us." He grimaced and both laughed. "Sounds like Amy" David admitted while turning back around and walking towards the stair case but stopped before he took the first step. "Are you not coming with me?" He asked. Alex looked back at her door one more time, replied seconds later with "I am coming" and walked behind him down the stairs. Something is wrong. She never locked her door. While he was deep in thoughts he noticed that David had a few drops of red wax on his shoulder.

"Wait..." I said while trying to get rid off the wax from light blue button up shirt. It still looked fresh. "Wait a sec... you got something on your back...is that wax..?" I said but he interrupted me. "yeah, yeah, I know" he sounded confused "stupid candles." David said but he let his hand rest on his shoulder to cover up the dots, obviously not wanting Alex to know how got them or why he has them.

They reached the bottom of the stairs and David tried to hide the embarrassment with not looking Alex in the eyes. "I ... um... I gotta go..." David said and pointed with his left hand behind him, the right one was still resting on his shoulder, taking the nap of its life.

"Yeah go...! I have to talk to Maddison anyway." Alex tried to act like the hand on his shoulder didn't bother him and it worked. David looked relieved and took his hand of his shoulder. Alex nodded in his direction and turned around, walked towards the kitchen, wanting to tell Maddison that Amy won't eat anything so he could go meet his friends in the city.

But right before he was entering the kitchen , Alex turned his head around and looked at David. He looked deadly at Alex. But when David noticed Alex was watching him, he smiled; friendly, only the smile didn't reach his eyes.
