2. Closest chapter 8
James' Point of view:
She looked adorable; but yet so simple and easy. The way her hair flipped in the wind when she walked and looked at me.
I wish I had more time with her, she makes me feel alive and her little sassy comments makes me laugh like I hadn't in the last months.
Just when we were speaking about the light floor in the club she loved so much, I saw a smashed car at the edge of the street.
"Oh no, who ever owns that car has no luck." I said and saw that all windows where smashed. The former black car was scratched. I was still walking ,not expecting anything unusual but just a few steps further and I noticed that Amy wasn't walking next to me anymore. She stood there where I first saw the car, paralyzed by the view of the car.
"Amy?" I walked straight to her and touched her shoulder. She looked up at me, wreaking up from her trance.
"That's my car James." She said bitterly.
.
Oh crap.
.
"I am so sorry Amy I didn't know that ... I expected that your car was further away..." I turned around to her car and took another look at it. Now that I knew that this car belonged to someone I know, I was trying to find things that could show us the one that did this.
Amy, still standing there, not noticing that my face suddenly looked deeply shocked.
I have found something.
But no evidence. More like a ... paper.
There was really a paper, laying on the drivers seat.
"Amy... I think you want to see this..." And it worked she came closer, looking what made my voice so careful.
I heard her breathing harshly and turned my head around to face her.
Her hand slipped through the one part of the window that wouldn't cut her hand in half and got the note out.
"Ouch!!" She screamed and let the note go; like it had burned her. And how right I was.
The note was white as I first saw it but now after Amy touched it it slowly turned green and seemed to burn the note away.
I looked up from the slowly disappearing piece of paper at Amy, or more, her fingers. The fingers that touched the note were green; but other than the paper where the green stuff burned the paper, the green stuff on her fingers seemed to live from her; first the green stuff was at the nails, but it grew somehow and now her whole hand was green.
"What... What happens?" She looked at me desperately like I had an answer. I have never seen that before.
"I have no idea. But ... Does it hurt you? Like it burned the paper?"
I looked back to the paper where the last words disappeared.
"No..." She looked confused. "No it actually doesn't hurt at all; I..." She suddenly looked really concerned.
"What?" I asked panically. "Is everything ok?!"
"I can't feel my fingers anymore..." The look on her face told me that she was trying to move her finger but they didn't move one bit.
"We should call Rob" I said. That stuff was growing fast and if it kills her nerves and muscles, someday it will be her whole body and than her heart... Oh no I don't want to imagine that...
