Little Space Family

Chapter 1

It had been three long and rough months since our favorite Ghost crew had joined up with the rebel fleet after they had helped rescue Kanan from the clutches of the Empire. They were all getting along too!! Kanan and Rex had finally made peace after a mission of saving Ezra, Commander Sato and some other rebels; it was tough but they were finally at an understanding and were god friends. They had also - thanks to Ahsoka - met up with a hidden Jedi Master, Obi-Wan Kenobi!! Kanan couldn't believe his eyes whilst Ezra was...well he was completely confused and slight worried the poor thing; he wondered if his mentor was going to ask Kenobi if he'd take on training him. Thankfully, the man reassured the teen that wasn't the case - yes, he was going to ask both Kenobi and Ahsoka for some help training the boy but overall, Kanan would always be his master. Today however, all of the Ghost crew - except for their artiest and the Togruta, the clone captain and the other Jedi were sat out in a field on Lothal as they watched the Master and Padawan train; Sato had decided to give them some time to rest as they had been doing missions none stop for the past two months!!  The kid had become really good and had made much process. Inside the ship, Sabine and Ahsoka were making a new drink; the two had become close friends and both loved to invent new smoothies and drinks - it was another way for them to bond. The drinks normally contained edible things but today...that changed a tad; they had added a few chemicals; this was new for them but in their words "there's a first for everything". 

Once the drink was finished and bottled up, the two girls made their way outside and joined the others as the two training did the same. "Nice work Ez, you've become better at levitating objects and deflecting things with your lightsaber" Kanan could be heard praising as they sat down "thanks Kanan, I do have a good master after all". All attention was turned towards the two girls who were smiling innocently...this made them all feel uneasy "we've finished yet another drink!!" Sabine announced; Zeb's face paled...somehow "oh brother". That earned him two glares "and we need someone to test it...Ezra??" Ahsoka asked kindly; the boys head shot up with wide eyes. Ezra was lucky not to have been forced to try one of their famous drinks - he had seen everyone's reactions and some meant a crew member rushing off to the fresher!! "I don't know" he was extremely wary of the beverage but didn't want to hurt his friend's feelings "come on Ezra, please" Sabine begged "for us??" this made the youngest teen sigh "fine...but you owe me, both of you" and with that, Ahsoka eagerly handed him the bottle before he downed it. Go big or go home right?? Bad idea!! Everyone stared the the kid - some with excitement and happiness whilst other with worry, as well as a few with amusement. Once the bottle was empty, Ezra dropped it "oh my force....that's disgusting!!" he exclaimed, pulling a face which earned many laughs...that was until he began to gag; Ezra covered his mouth and stomach before shooting up and hurrying to the ship as he raced to the fresher. With worry, Hera quickly followed, wanting to make sure he was okay other then puking from the drink; mother mode activated!! Sabine and Ahsoka sulked in disappointment whilst Kanan and Kenobi shared a worried glance; Zeb and Chopper were still rather amused by the whole thing. 

"Do you think Ezra will be okay??" Kanan wondered out loud, earning a few shrugs "there wasn't anything too dangerous in that drink so he should be fine" Sabine stated. That one sentence made the whole thing rather concerning "em...by 'too dangerous'...what do you mean??" Zeb asked after sharing a worried glance; the two present teens did the same as they realized Sabine's mistake. "Well...you see... we may have added some...chemicals and stuff to this drinks" Ahsoka explained; Kanan felt his eye twitch "let me get this straight...you purposely put chemicals into a drink that you both made" he paused for a moment "...and get it to my Padawan!?" he yelled. They both ducked their heads as Sabine attempted to defend themselves "it shouldn't be harmful!! Don't worry" Kenobi decided to step in as his Jedi friend was in the middle of counting "any chemical can be harmful and as you both work with many of them, you should know this". Inside the Ghost, Ezra was kneeling next to the toilet, his head hovering over it as he threw up violently; Hera felt her heart break at the sight as she was sat next to him, rubbing soothing circles on his back whilst also holding his navy blue hair back. After a few minutes, the boy came to a stop and sat back, his head leaning against the wall as he regained his breathe "you okay hun??" Hera asked as she used a cloth to wipe his face to rid of the puke and sweat "I'm fine Hera...thanks for holding my hair back" they both smiled "no problem, wait here" she stood up "I'm going to go get you some water and a blanket". Ezra then realized he was shivering "okay". Hera left the refresher and hurried to enter the common room which was also the kitchen; Rex was their drinking some coffee. They greeted one another whilst the Captain prepared the drink, decided to as some blackcurrant so Ezra had something else to taste instead of his own puke; she explained what had just happened to the clone who gave a look of sympathy as well as a small chuckle "those drinks are dangerous in my opinion". Yes, Rex was also a victim of the two girls drinks; he felt ill for two days after taking a sip!! But he didn't puke. 

Hera left the room after grabbing a soft blanket from the cupboard before rushing back to the refresher, but once she reached the door way, she halted. The woman placed the glass of blackcurrant down near the sink before she could drop it in shock "oh. My. God" her eyes were wide in shock "E...Ezra?!" Hera was staring down at a small child who looked a lot like Ezra; navy blue hair, electric blue eyes, tanned skin and he also had two little scars covering his cheek where the Inquisitor was able to strike him. Yup, it was Ezra...but how?! Noticing the child was basically naked due to his clothes being way too big for him, Hera carefully wrapped him up in the blanket; he was adorable. She picked the child up and held him; Hera was more than shocked when Ezra wrapped his arms around her neck. "Aww" she cooed before leaving the refresher with a large smile on her face. Back outside, the two Jedi were still lecturing Sabine and Ahsoka; they looked over when they noticed Hera walk out of the ship with a blanket in her arms, covering her chest in a strange way. "Hey, what was in that drink??" the Captain asked - the two girls reluctantly explained after Kanan sent them a small glare; they were surprised to see Hera wasn't mad but...understanding?? "Well...that explained a lot". Zeb spoke up, asking how the teen was and why she had a blanket?? Hera couldn't hold back her smile as she turned the blanket around to reveal....a small child!? All eyes and mouths widened with shock "is that...Ezra?!" Kenobi asked, earning a nod "I left the refresher for five minutes to get him a drink and blanket - he'd thrown his guts up" she explained "and when I returned, I found him like this, so whatever was in that drink must have changed Ezra into a baby". The two teens were finding it hard not to squeal from how cute Ezra was whilst Zeb and Chopper found it amusing of course. Kenobi was clearly confused by the whole situation - he was stroking his beard again; Kanan was the same but knew the sight of Hera holding a young child version of Ezra would forever be embedded in his mind - he was grateful for that.

The man stood up and approached his girlfriend, only for Ezra to spot him and reach out; this confused Kanan whilst Hera chuckled as she knew what the young boy wanted. She began to lift Ezra up and hand him over, making her partner begin to panic "whoa whoa whoa!!" his eyes widened once again "what are you doing?!" he asked - Kanan knew nothing about babies or young children!! "He want's you to hold him" she explained before moving his hands to where they needed to be "here, put you hand here and that hand there". All of the girls aww'd, Zeb rolled his eyes fondly, Kenobi smiled and Chopper beeped. Ezra wasn't a new born - clearly; he was able to support himself to sit up but couldn't stand or walk - maybe a few months old. Hera stood next to her boyfriend and rubbed the child's back gently. All of a sudden, Ezra wrapped his arms around both adults necks the best he could with his small arms "mama, dada". All eyes once again widened as most of them once again aww'd. "Ezra thinks you two are his parents!! Sabine squealed; Hera looked more happy then ever!! Kanan was as well...but held a hint of confusion "Sabine, Ahsoka, you two need to work out and make a drink to reverse this...to get Ezra back to being a fifteen year old boy" he instructed; his crew exclaimed "what?!" which....made the child giggle!! It was the cutest thing ever!! "What are you talking about Kanan?! Why do we have to turn Ezra fifteen again?!" it clearly upset the woman and that wasn't what Kanan wanted "because....Ezra isn't a small child, he's a fifteen year old boy...it's only right we turn him back". To be honest, Kanan was disappointing too and wished they could keep his Padawan as he was now "...we could leave Ezra as he is now, he had a crap childhood" Kenobi began "we leave him like this....then we could give him a better one, a second chance...and it looks like he already found his new parent". They were all looking up at their leader with hope....which made him crack "fine, we'll keep Ezra how he is...but we've all got to help out with buying things and looking after him" they all cheered and agreed. Suddenly, they soon realized Ezra was dozing off, his head resting against Kanan's chest; they couldn't hold back their smiles.
