Taylor's hooded, bloody face haunted Regan, Xander and I as we stayed in the pod. Most of the day's we'd all be silent and the nights would be filled with terrifying screams from the other room, where Taylor was before. After the incident the doctors boarded up the pods window leaving us with a 20 by 20 foot room all to ourselves. No one came in or out, but every once in a while we'd hear somebody struggling outside trying to get our attention.
What haunted me the most was that we didn't have visitors. Our parents, friends, no one. After Dr.KT left she installed a communication system with only one button, the "Ready" button. So she made sure the only person we could communicate with was her and the other scientists.
"Cole?" Xander was looking at me with worry in his eyes. None of us had slept so he looked completely miserable, as did Regan and I.
"Yes?" I replied.
"Don't you think we could trick the doctors?" I looked at him as he said this and immediately knew what he meant. There were cameras in the pod that updated the scientists with pictures every two to five minutes. We were given "Walky-Talkies" to communicate if we were hungry or not. The scientists gave us the kind the records video, so if we strapped the "Walky-Talky" to the camera it would show a video of us moving, giving us freedom.
"Let's do it."
