Xander and Chris, as I knew they would, went directly to the beer pong table and acted like goofs. I had started to hang around in the background as I usually did, until I felt a nudge. A girl named Chloe and a boy named Timmy, who were friends, slammed against the wall, drunk. I edged away from them quickly to give them space.
Soon I felt pressured to actually talk to someone so I looked around for my options. I saw my friends all over, but I just didn't know what to say to any of them. Hopefully something would liven the party up for me.
There were wild cheers and screams as the new boy band of 2021 started playing. Julia and Luke were screaming at the top of their lungs and for some reason Xander and Regan were nowhere to be seen. Taylor and a girl named Kaitlyn were gone too.
As soon as I decided to go upstairs to see where everyone was I ran into my friend Aniah.
"Don't go upstairs. Whatever's there is going to kill you. Just sayin'." Aniah walks down the stairs uneasily and falls flat on her face after that. She had too much to drink, I thought.
I started up the stairs and was surprised to see nobody up there except for Thomas and Chris. They were both tied to the wall with toilet paper and glue and I could hear muffled words under the duck tape covering their mouths. I take the tape off Chris' mouth and he immediately mouths, Behind you.
I turn and I have no words to explain what I saw next.
