Fate Of A Rose

Kitty: Chapter 1

A little girl by the name of Anna, was playing with her dolls. Anna was a bright, loving girl with a lot of curiosity. It was around noon and Anna wanted to play outside. She skipped downstairs, her brown hair swaying side to side on her way down.

"Grammy? Can I go play?"

Her grandma nodded happily and said to stay where she could see her. Anna giggled and ran to her backyard. The sun was shining and the sky was clear. Anna couldn't ask for a better day to play. Suddenly, the air seemed different. The scent of roses filled her nose, but she didn't see any. She knew her grandma didn't like to garden so she looks around to see where the illuminating smell was coming from. Then a tall shadow appears behind her, towering over her. She turned around to see a man. He wore a grey trench coat with no shirt underneath, exposing his muscular chest. He also had black combat boots that went to his knees. On his head was a fedora that tilted so that you couldn't see where his eyes are supposed to be. Anna wasn't scared at all, but happy that she could meet someone new. The stranger leans down and smiles innocently at her.

"Hello my dear, what might your name be?"

His voice was like silk to her. She blushed brightly and fiddled with her fingers looking at the ground.

"I..I'm Anna."

The stranger chuckled and began to smile more, causing his sharp teeth to be exposed. He took her hand gently and held it to his mouth, softly planting a kiss upon it.

"Well, its a pleasure to meet you miss Anna."

She smiles at him sweetly. The stranger peers behind her then back at her.

"My dear, are you all alone?"

Anna shakes her head and tells the stranger that she stays with her grandma. He asks about her mother and she told him about the accident.

"Oh I see...well, I must be going now."

Anna grabs his coat and he glanced down at her, waiting for her to let go. But she wouldn't. He sighed and knelt back down.

"S..sorry sir I just...I don't have anyone to play with. Will you play with me?"

He smiles a little and takes her hand. "I'll play with you Anna."

All after noon they played different games and the stranger even gave her a piggy back ride around the back yard. Anna hasn't been this happy in a long time. Even he was having fun. By this point she was getting sleepy. The man held Anna close to him under a big tree that was in the middle of the yard and lays her on his chest. He tilted his fedora further and was about to drift to sleep, letting out purrs which vibrated Anna's head. She let out a soft giggle and cuddled closer to him.

"Kitty..."

He looked down at the little girl and smirked. "That's not my name sweety, my real name is-"

But before he could finish his sentence she falls asleep instantly on his chest. He lets out a sigh and leans back on the tree.

"Offender.." He yawns and falls asleep.

Hours go by and offender hears a voice coming from Anna's house. It was her grandmother looking for her. He didn't need to be caught, not now. Quickly he scooped Anna and slipped by the worried grandmother and went inside without being detected. Offender found her room and carefully put her on her bed, covering her up. He goes to turn away when Anna grabs his arm and yawns.

"Where are you going kitty...?"

He kneels down beside her bed and smiles sweetly at her. "I cant stay Anna. I must leave. But, I have a present for you."

He reaches inside his coat and pulls out a red rose and hands it to her. She sits up and takes it smiling tiredly, rubbing her eyes. Just then one of his tentacles lifts her chin and smiles.

"I'll be back, just for you. But when you're older, Okay? Now be a good girl and go to sleep my dear."

She smiles and lays back down with the rose close to her, falling back to sleep instantly.
