Ch.3 The voice mail

Later that day, Maya walked into Riley's living room and set her purse on the couch when she noticed that the home phone had a new message. Riley would let her check the messages if she wasn't here, so Maya picked up the phone and started to listen to the voice mail.

"I can't wait to be with you" she heard Riley say "I'll visit as soon as I'm done with my dinner, I'll just tell everyone that I'm going to that pizza place downtown".

"Pizza huh?" she suddenly heard Lucas say "Is that like my new nickname?"

Maya put her hand over her shocked mouth.

"Aw" she heard Riley say "You know what your nickname is Mr. Friar".

"Ah!" Maya shrieked as she ended to message and set the phone down

She then started to panic, she couldn't believe what she just heard. She then quickly left the room and went to 'Topang's' where she saw Farkle sitting on the couch.

"Farkle" she went up to him "Do you have a minute?"

"Yeah sure" he said as he listened.

"Oh I have such a problem" Maya said nervously "Ok ok, I have got to tell you something".

"What is it?"

"Oh my God it is so huge, you just have to promise that you will not tell anyone".

"No no no no I don't wanna know" he said as he got up and backed away.

"Yes you do wanna know this is unbelievable!" Maya said.

"I don't care Maya, I am so tired of being the guy who knows all the secrets and can't tell anyone".

"What secrets you know secrets what are they?"

"And Riley said that you're not suppose to be gossiping anymore!"

"I know" Maya whined "But I can't keep this one in. So I picked up the phone-".

But Farkle quickly put his hand over his ears, closed his eyes, and started to make loud noises so he wouldn't hear. Maya gave a frown as she walked out of the cafe just as Lucas walked in. He saw what Farkle was doing as he walked up to him. Lucas then gave a sneaky smile as he started to tickle Farkle causing him to scream as he fell on the couch. Lucas started to laugh as he sat on the couch.

Soon evening came, and everyone was at Riley's place having dinner when Riley finished her dinner.

"Well since I'm done" she said "I uh, I think I'm gonna go to that pizza place downtown for a bit before it closes".

"But you just had dinner" Josh said.

"I know, but that pizza place has really good WiFi".

"Yeah I think I should get home" Lucas said as he got up "I don't want my mama to be upset that I'm late".

Maya watched them leave the room with a look of guilt on her face.

"Yeah I should probably go too" Josh said "I'm gonna check out my new apartment tomorrow".

"Yeah I got to call Vanessa" Zay said "I bet she's gonna tell me how much she misses me".

"Ok bye" Maya said as they left.

Maya and Farkle were now alone in the dining room.

"Hey Farkle" she said "Remember that big thing I was gonna tell you about?"

Farkle then put his hands over his ears and started to make loud noises again, but Maya moved his hands away as he stopped shouting.

"I'm not gonna tell you" she said "But if you find out on your own, that will be ok and we can talk about it right?"

"Well then it wouldn't be a secret" he said "So yeah that would be ok".

"Ok" Maya said as she put on a sneaky look "Hey uh, would you mind going over to Lucas's place and get that book he borrowed from me?"

Farkle's eyes widen.

"Now?" he said "You want me to get it now?"

"Hm" Maya said as she crossed her arms.

"Do you know something?" he asked with a suspicious look.

"Do you know something?" she asked back.

"I might know something".

"I might know something too".

"What's the thing you know?"

"Oh no I can't tell you until you tell me what you know".

"I can't tell you what I know".

"Well then I can't tell you what I know".

"Ok fine" he shrugged as they both sat in silence ignoring each other.

They then looked at each other for a bit before turning back.

"You don't know" Farkle smiled.

"All right" Maya said as she got up "How about I go to Lucas's place and I will walk into his bedroom and I will see the thing that I see that is actually the thing that I think that I know".

Farkle gave a gasp as he got up and pointed to her.

"You know!" he gasped.

"And you know!" she pointed at him.

"Yeah I know!"

"Riley and Lucas" she gasped "Oh this unbelievable! How long have you know?"

"Just today oh my God Maya I've been dying to talk to someone about this!" he exclaimed as he shook her "But listen, you can't say anything to anybody".

All of a sudden Zay came in as Farkle and Maya shrieked.

"Oh hey!" they said to Zay with a fake smile.

"Hey" Zay said "So Vanessa's busy, plus it's raining so I decided to stay in here for a bit".

Maya and Farkle tried to hide their secret when Farkle spoke up.

"Oo!" he said "I am gonna go for a walk in the rain".

"Oh me too" Maya smiled as they both went out of the room.

"That's weird" Zay said with a confused look as he sat on the couch. But then his face lit up "I bet they're doing it".
