Trivia of the day: What does Percy keep fighting in the Son of Neptune. And what is on the sample platter that was poisoned with the deadly Gorgon's blood?
Percy's POV
" I was just leaving my moms apartment after saying goodbye when I heard the familiar bark of a hellhound. I got out Riptide and poised to attack as I swiftly turned around, only to be stopped by a big wall of Mrs. O' Leary, who I hadn't seen since the war. I put Riptide away but was quickly coated with layers of dog slobber. I just then noticed the shadows in the room. My hand reached once more towards my pocket yet stopped abruptly when I heard two familiar voices say " What's up Cuz?"
A few minutes later my mom opened the door to find three demigods and a hellhound saying things like " Hi again Mom!", "Hi Mrs. Jackson", and "Hi Mrs. Blofis!". She opened the door and served blue lemonade and cookies.
"This is really good Mrs. Jackson!" a full mouthed Nico exclaimed, while Thalia slapped him upside the head and scolded him. Just then, Paul walked in and absorbed the chaos going on around him and backed out, hands up in surrender.
After blue cookies and lemonade, I told my parents goodbye once again and left with Nico and Thalia, suitcase in hand. Thalia noticed and asked " What is that for?" I sighed and told them to sit down by Mrs. O' Leary, who was outside the whole time barking at everything that moved. I then proceeded to repeat what I had told Annabeth six days ago and my parents earlier in the day. " I'm leaving in an hour" (time passed after telling Annabeth) I concluded nervously.
Thalia looked murderous while Nico seemed to have all of the shadows in the ally coming to him. Then, just like Annabeth, they were silent. Mrs. O'Leary broke the silence by barking at the passing cars.
"I'd better head to Camp to get my train ticket" I announced. We all said our goodbyes as Mrs. O'Leary shadow traveled me to Camp Half-Blood.
When we arrived, I ran straight for the Big House. Chiron gave me an odd looking ticket that was red, bordered with gold. Curious, I inspected it. The ticket said Platform 9 3/4. I looked at Chiron, expecting it to be a joke, but he just nodded his head. I then thanked Chiron and stepped outside of the Big House. I sighed and thought of everything I'll miss for the next year. I whistled a taxi cab whistle and heard a voice in my head say "sup boss?". "I told you NOT to call me that Blackjack!" "Sorry boss, where to?" "To the train station in the U.K" (I'm sorry I live in the US and don't know what it is or where it is) After hours of flying and donuts, Blackjack collapsed at the entrance of the train station. I told him goodbye and promised him donuts. Then, I breathed deeply and walked through the doors, ticket in hand, not looking back.
THE END! Just joking! There's more just wait and see. Sorry for a short first chapter. I'll try to update chapter three tonight. Wow, three in one day. The answer and winner to the trivia will be up at the end of next chapter.
