"Dad!" Monika yelped, scrambling to pick up her shirt.

"What is going on in here?" He questioned, darting his eyes at both of them. His face turned darker shades of red as he waited for an answer from both of them.

"It's not what it looks like! I'm just her friend who happened to come in while she was getting dressed," Gilbert said, grinding his teeth.

He raised an eyebrow, crossing his arms, and turned to Monika who gladly put on a big shirt that covered her breasts and her underwear. "Is that true, Monika?" He said in German deeply.

"Ja, Vater," She mumbled, "We were going to go out but I wanted to change first,"

"Like on a date?" Her father's voice raised as if he was surprised

"No! He's the gay one,"

"Wait-" Gilbert piped in before getting a death glare from Monika, he closed his mouth and stared at the ground.

"So... just friends,"

"Yes, just friends," Those words hit Monika hard, knowing that it is most likely to be true all her life.

"Okay," He turned to Gilbert, still with flames brewing in his green eyes, "Be good to my daughter,"

"No problem!" Gilbert flashed a thumbs up at him who rolled his eyes at him and walked out.

Monika sighed, looking down at Gilbert. "That was close," She whispered.

"So.. I'm gay?" He cocked a smirk at her.

"Just pretend, I don't want my dad to hate you or anything," She said, "Can you get out now?"

"I don't want to come face to face with your dad even again. He's kinda scary, I see who you got it from," He crawled under her blankets, hiding all his body but his legs that flopped out, "I'll just stay under here until you're done,"

"I guess that can work,"

She resumed, finding a good bra and she pulled on the dress. She looked in the mirror, surprising satisfied with it. "I'm done," She nonchalantly told him though she was rather excited.

Gilbert crawled out and looked at her- he paused, staring up and down at her. Silently, he continued to gawk at her dress, making her nervous with his stillness.

"You look beautiful, Monika," He grasped her forearms, his red eyes staring into her blue ones. She noticed that they had hints of purple in them and she knew she loved him. "So are your boobs,"

Though love swelled in her heart, she crinkled her brows and lightly smacked him in the arm.

"Gilbert!" Monika hissed, "Forget that ever happened!" Still, she wanted to kiss his grinning lips.

He laughed, bowing his head back, "Alright, I won't. Now are you ready to go?"

"Where are we going anyway?" Monika asked, unknowingly bringing him closer. He smelt of beer and hints of cinnamon from his breakfast, odd scents yet they smelt like home.

"A surprise,"

Moniak didn't expect much from Gilbert, really. But it didn't stop her from wanting a nice dinner along with him. She assumed it was going to be a decent dinner outside of the city. So she was quite shocked to see he pulled up to an arcade place which she was even surprised was opened on Christmas. In her dress and makeup done, she hoped for a romantic dinner next to him in the candle light eating steak. Yes, it was far-fetched for Gilbert, Monika will admit, yet she dreamed of it.
