Chapter 6

The next day after school Miko sat on the wall and wondered when her host parents would pick her up. She had already done her homework, only because she wanted to get some privileges back. Jack and Raf had already come by talked to her, and then left for the base. Her host parents were almost an hour late. She sighed and texted them to come pick her up. A few minutes later they called and apologized for not being there, telling her they forgot, and told her to walk home. After she hung up, Miko felt like crying, this seemed to happen on a regular basis. The host parents would say they could do something, or go somewhere and then forget at the last second. The girl wiped away her tears and headed home.

When the boys arrived at the base, Bulkhead over heard them talking about Miko. The wrecker of course walked over and asked about her.

"Well...when we left she was still waiting to be picked up." Jack said.

"Ya we offered her a ride but she said her host parents were coming." Raf said. "Miko mumbled something about them probably forgetting though." Bulkhead felt himself getting angry again, he clenched his fists and walked over to his car.

"Where are you going?" Arcee asked.

"To get Miko." He said before he slammed the door and drove off.

Miko was two blocks away from the school, when she heard a car drive up beside her and slow down. She figured it was one of her host parents, she was still crying a little so she didn't even look over. She heard the window role down, and waited for them to tell her to get in.

"Need a ride?" A familiar voice said. She stopped and finally looked at the driver.

"BULKHEAD!" she said as the sadness inside of her was replaced with joy.

"Get in kiddo." He said smiling. She ran around and jumped into the car. As they drove to the base, she told him all about her day.

Once at the base, the kids decided that the Autobots needed to try Pizza. As the kids talked excitedly with Rachet, Optimus, Smokescreen and Agent Fowler, while the other two held back and talked to each other quietly.
Bulkhead and Bumblebee leaned against the wall with their arms folded, Arcee walked over to them and leaned against the wall.

"What's gotten into the both of you?" She asked looking at Bee. He had a serious look on his face, and was watching Raf.

"Is something wrong with Raf?" She asked. He looked at her as if he was trying to figure out what to say. Finally he playfully punched her in the arm, glared at her and then hit her a little harder.

"Is someone beating on Raf?" Bulkhead asked, the Scout nodded slowly as he looked back at the young boy.

"I hear ya Bee. Mikos having a hard time with her host parents. Apparently they want me to stay away from her so she can become a lady, or something like that." Bulkhead mumbled. They were quiet for a moment.

"What are the two of you going to do about it?" Arcee asked. They looked at her surprised.

"What do you mean?" The Wrecker asked, Arcee looked at the two men and glared at them.

"You both love your kid, so do something to help them. I know I would do what I could for Jack. Don't give up just because things are getting hard." With that she walked off to join the rest of the group.

Bumblebee and Bulkhead looked at each other for a moment, and then smiled, they knew exactly what to do to help the kids. They followed Arcee to the rest of the team to try some pizza.
