Chapter 26

The two men worked frantically to try and gain control of the ship. Rachet typed and entered different sequences. He heard a beep and the engine shift as it came back on.

"NOW!!" He yelled over the alarm.

Bumblebee pulled up as hard as he could and the ship barely missed the ground. He straightened the ship out and sighed in relief. A shadow passed over the window, they looked over and saw another aircraft flying closely to theirs. They glared at the driver.

"Soundwave." Rachet growled angrily. Another ship appeared on the other side and behind them.

"Rachet report." Optimus said.

"Their boxing us in." He replied. "I think their going to try and take us back." He said looking at the scout.

Bumblebee narrowed his eyes and pushed hard on the controls. The ship dived then shot forward. The enemy fired at them and the scout twisted the ship into a barrel roll. He looked at the doctor, narrowed his eyes and pointed at some controls. They fired again and hit them, the transmission fizzed out.

Rachet typed away and found the weapons system. He tried to fire but it was jammed. He mumbled something under his breath and worked on getting the weapons up. More alarms sounded and the scout struggled to dodge the bullets. He maneuvered the ship to roll, then dive, then turn sharply. He wasn't sure what he was doing, but he knew it was working. Eventually Rachet got the weapons back online and fired on the enemy ships. He hit one and they cheered as it crashed to the earth.

Soundwave narrowed his eyes as he watched one of the ships, go down in a ball of flames. He signaled to the other ship to trap them. The drone pulled up and remained on their tail. Soundwave pulled away as an idea came to him.

The scout rolled again as the drone shot at him. The ship climbed up turned sharply, and dived. He was doing everything he could to try and shake him. Eventually he pushed the thrusters down and they went faster towards the base. Rachet started to feel sick as the scout flew in crazy patterns trying to shake the drone. Bee smiled as they sped off, but it quickly faded as he saw another ship approaching from the front.

Soundwave smiled and increased his speed as he went to ram the stolen ship. He powered up his weapons and smiled wickedly as he fired.

Bumblebees eyes grew wide and he pulled hard on the controls. The ship groaned as it climbed into the sky at an angle. The missiles hit the back of the ship and took out an engine. The ship started to spiral out of control as it dived to the ground. Bee clenched his teeth and strained to get the ship straight. Rachet worked on trying to get ahold of the base again. He was barely able to patch through.

"Mayday, mayday, mayday!!" He yelled as he felt the sickening feeling of dropping.

"Rachet!.....are.....where.....what..." The transmission was struggling to remain intact. Bumblebee yelled silently as he tried to pull up, the ground was approaching fast.

"Optimus we're going down! The Decepticons shot us! Our location is unknown!" Rachet yelled frantically as the console exploded in some places. There was static at the other end. The ship pulled up and scraped across the earth. Their eyes widened as they saw a fast approaching mountain. Bumblebee tried to maneuver the ship, but it wouldn't respond. He hit the brakes hard and tried to slow it down.

"OPTIMUS COME IN!!" Rachet shouted. The mountain grew bigger at an alarming rate. Bumblebee yelled silently again as he strained to stop the ship. The doctor sent out a few more distress signals and braced himself for the impact. They looked at each other knowing there was nothing they could do.
