Ch. 15- For Our Love III: Reunited

(Laura Brehm's POV)

I'm in the hospital waiting room with RX trying my best not to cry. A hand softly touches my left shoulder, it's Muzzy. "What happened to Ephixa?" I ask him.

"I managed to knock him out for about a few minutes, called the cops and he woke up as they were dragging him away." Muzzy replied feeling calm and proud. I hug him letting a few tears out.

"Thank you for saving RKD." I thank him.

"No problem." Muzzy replied as the doctor comes in the waiting room to tell us the news.

(RX's POV)

"Is he alright?" Laura asks the doctor with worry.

"We tried our best," the doctor replied. "but he's just not responding." Laura falls to her knees in disbelief (I'm not even trying) as I pick her up, hugged her and tried to calm her down. The doctor gave us a chance to see RKD one last time. We followed him to where RKD is as me and Laura tried our best not to cry, but it's hard not to.

The doctor left me and Laura alone with a dead, robotic body. I don't know how the people at school will react to this. Laura slowly levels herself near RKD to where her face meets his. I took one closer look at the body. His face, neck, arms, chest, just everywhere in general is cut, bruised by Ephixa who would probably never come back to the school again.

(Laura Brehm's POV)

I lean in closer to RKD's face as RX asks me what I'm doing. There is still life in RKD, just a very little bit. I softly sang one last song to him.

"I am awake. The lucid memories escape from my imagination. They sail away. A distant voice is telling me to let go of what's broken. Just let into the floors of my yesterday. I will be floating above."

Tears continue to fall from my face as Muzzy tells me that it's time to leave. My hand doesn't want to leave RKD's hand as I slowly let it free. As soon as I was about to leave the room, the heart rate monitor is going at a steady pace followed by a slight moan.

(Muzzy's POV)

I hear Laura gasp in surprise as she thought she heard a small moan from RKD's body. There's no way; once your dead, your dead. Then again, he is a cyborg. He can be repaired, but after what Ephixa did to him, it's gonna be a while until he can get back on his feet. Me and RX follow her into the room to find RKD's eyes slowly awakening.

(RKD's POV)

I regained my conscience and I can slowly move my fingers once again. My eyes felt like heavy weights just by opening them, but I can see a fair bit through them. The first person I see is Laura by my side as she hugs my neck and starts crying in joy. I turn my head to see Muzzy and RX with surprised looks on their faces. It's probably because I don't have the blue eyes that they would normally see; they can only see black, hollow eyes now.

"I had to save you, Laura." I softly say to Laura with a lot of pain still existing in my body. Muzzy did a pretty good job at fixing me, though.

"What were you going to say to me last night," Laura asks me. "Do you remember?" I try my best to think back. RX and Muzzy are looking at us thinking that we would make a cute couple. Wait, I finally remember! I was going to ask Laura to be my girlfriend; we've only been best friends since the day we met. If I ask her to marry me, it wouldn't work because we are too young. My voice is starting to get back as I try to ask her the question.

"Laura, I wanted to be with you alone last night because I wanted to ask you something," I say to her as she motions me to go on. "We've only been friends since we met and I thought that we should take the next step." I pause to get some air into me as Laura is blushing and hyped on what I am about to say.

"Laura," I ask her. "Will you be my girlfriend?"

(Laura Brehm's POV)

I screamed like a fan girl inside when RKD asked me if I want to be his girlfriend. I'm blushing a lot as I turn to see Muzzy and RX nodding me to go for it (even the doctor is telling me to go for it. lol XD).

"Yes!"

Me and Erik hugged each other until RX had to break it up.

(RX's POV)

"Hate to ruin the hugging, but Droptek just told me that we should probably head back to the school."

"Yeah," RKD replied. "Our teachers are probably wondering where we've been."

"Don't worry, they know." Muzzy informed him.

"Wait," Laura stopped the guys' conversation. "I heard that there would be new students joining us!" Now that got us hyped.

"Let's get over there, so that we can see them." RKD instructed us with gladness. At least he still has his emotions. As soon as we are entering the waiting room, we looked at the TV to see the news of RKD, Ephixa and Muzzy.

"Great," RKD doesn't sound impressed. "Now the cameras are gonna be onto me and Muzzy." We ran to my car as I drove us to school as fast as the car can take us.
