"Next up, the news of thirteen year old Annabelle Redmond, dead yesterday evening. The girl seemed to have been hit by a passing truck, the driver, who is also injured from the accident, cannot recall anything that had happened"

I watched the news playing on the police station TV.

"The only other person at the scene was Gemma Adler, who was, after being checked over by the ambulance, untouched by the truck. Annabelle's parents are now pressing charges against the girl, convinced she had pushed their daughter in front of the truck. There were no security cameras or footage of the incident. The suspect remains at the local police station for further questioning"

I felt my face go red with fury. I couldn't believe my best friend's parents, believed that I was the cause for Annabelle's death. My eyes started to well up with tears. I lean down as if I was tying my shoelaces and let the tears seep down my cheeks. I sat alone in the police station, I'd been there for 5 hours now. My parents had to leave earlier to look after my little brothers, promising they would come in and see me later.

"Miss Adler?" A tall policewoman walks toward me, she looks like one of those strict school teachers who shouldn't be messed with.

"We will see you now please" She continues, gesturing down the hall. I follow her down the corridor and into an investigation room. The tall teacher lady takes a seat next to a younger police girl and tells me to sit on the opposite side of the table.

The blonde girl takes out a sheet of paper and starts to ask me questions.

"Name"

"Gemma Adler"

"Age"

"13"

"Date of Birth"

"27 June, 2002"

"What gave you the urge to push that poor girl under a truck?"

My head snaps up and I glare at her. Through clenched teeth I tell her I didn't push her. She frowns and writes something down.

"Did she torment you? Were you pushing each other around?"

By then I'd had enough, I stood up and yelled

"I DIDN'T PUSH HER INTO A CAR I'M NOT THE PSYCHO YOU THINK I AM"

"Sit down." Snaps the old officer

"NO!" I yell and turn for the door.

Just then, my dad opens the door and walks in. I throw my arms around him and start crying.

"I'm taking her home now." He tells the officers.

"This is ridiculous" He says, before pulling me out of the room and dragging me to the car.
