For seventeen years I never had a girlfriend in my life. Believe it or not, the only females that ever existed in my life are my biological mother and sister. What about the other girls? Well, most of them were attracted to my charming best friend here, who you'd call him a 'Ladies' man'.
Let me tell you a bit about my good friend, before I introduce myself.
Heath, he's tall, athletic, muscular, plus he's nice and handsome with a highly educated and wealthy family. Heck, Heath is also a regular player of our school basketball team. He's even known as the "Prince of the Basketball Court". No wonder the girls fall for him and the men jealous of him.
And me? I'm just a normal teenage boy with normal looks, raised by a single mother who lives in a normal family. I got no rich parents, no perfect grades, no special ability I would call a talent. No surprise someone like me would be ignored by everybody else. Especially when you're standing next to a guy who looks like a blonde-haired Zac Efron.
No, I don't blame Heath for me not been able to get a girlfriend, not at all.
And I'm not jealous of him getting all the attention, not one bit.
... Okay, maybe a little.
Just a little. A smidge.
I admit. There was a couple of times when I wanted to punch that charismatic smile off his face.
But how could I hate him? First of all, he's been my best friend since our first year in middle school. We've been through a lot together, like the final semester exams or our first driver's tests for example.
And secondly, he was born a Chick Magnet. It's not his own fault that he naturally attracts girls. The only thing I can blame is the DNA he got from his equally charming parents.
Wait, did I just use half the prologue to describe how popular and good looking Heath is? Okay, I'm going to stop here before you guys starting to think I'm 'fanboying' over my best friend, or whatever you call it.
So yeah, that's pretty much the reason why I didn't have a girlfriend.
No, it's not like I'm desperate for love or anything. It's just... Sometimes I just wonder, if there's someone out there for me.
Geez, I'm starting to sound like a daydreaming girl now, am I?
Anyway, just when I thought I'd probably be all alone for the rest of my life.
I met her.
A girl, who goes by the name of Yuzuki, Mikage. One who I would call a "Poker-faced Japanese Doll".
Or so I thought.
I never thought we would cross our paths. We were two different people with two different cultural backgrounds who lived in two different neighbourhoods.
Yet, our lives have been joined together, tied by one freaking wedding ring.
You wanna know what happened? Read on, my fellow readers with extra spare time and nothing else to do, let me tell you about my so-called 'marriage life'.
