Dylan Cooper's point of view
"Want some?" Lianna offered chips while I'm driving.
We're going to Tom's again, just a little movie watching and we're going home.
You know what comes after watching a movie with Tom Henderson.
"Aah." I opened my mouth and she puts some in.
"I'm gonna turn the radio on if you don't mind." She said.
"Nope, I don't mind." I said while making a left, following Archie's Green Porsche.
Talk about vomit color.
"One look, dark room. Meant just, for you. Time move too fast, you play it back." The song started as if on cue.
"Buttons on a coat, lighthearted joke. No proof, not much. But you saw enough." I straighten up to listen at the beautiful song that was playing.
The song sounded like Taylor Swift or someone who sounds like her.
"Small talk, he drives. Coffee at midnight. The light reflects, the chain of your neck." I gulped, Why does the act of listening to this song suddenly felt wrong?
"He said, look up and your shoulders brushed. No proof, one touch. You felt enough." The song came up to me as a mess. I couldn't figure out what does it mean or what does it want to say, but the chorus enlightened me.
"You can hear it in the silence, silence." The lyics were still a puzzle, but I couldn't get my mind off of it.
"Let's turn it off, the songs suck." Lianna tried but I stopped her hands from pushing the button.
"No, It sounds good." I replied.
And interesting, mind you.
But why am I istening to T Swift anyway?
"You can feel it on your way home, way home."
"Dylan, Really. The song reallt sucks. Let's just maybe change the cha--" "Lianna, it's just 3 minutes."
And why do I feel that Lianna wants to turn it off because she can relate to it as well?
"You can see it it with the lights out, lights out."
Then it occured to me.
"You are in love, true love."
I blinked.
"You are in love."
"You got to the chorus. My choice of song now." She said.
"Can 3 minutes kill you?" I asked. "It's Taylor Swift, I love Taylor Swift." She rolled her eyes.
"Morning, His place. Burned toast, sunday. You keep his shirt, he keeps his word."
"Dylan, you're listening to Taylor Swift." I said.
"Well, she's right." I said.
"For once, you let go. Of your fears and your ghost. One step, not much. But it said enough."
"Right what?" She asked. "Right about what?"
E-er hello? Worry much?
"Haters gonna hate, hate, hate." I chuckled.
"You kiss on sidewalks."
It stopped me from talking further.
"You fight and you talk."
