Imessage Chapter 14
Hayes and I begin walking away from the hotel, our fingers laced with each others.
We don't exactly know where were going, but being together is simply enough.
"I found the park." Hayes states, pointing to the large, colorful playground, with a pond just across the street.
"Lets go." I say, pulling him to the mary-go-round.
He lets go of my hand to let me sit on the mary-go-round, which causes me to frown.
"Ready?" He shouts over the wind.
I nod. "Ready."
Suddenly, he's pushing the toy, and I'm having to hold on to the bars to stay on.
"Weeeee." I shout, causing us both to laugh.
"Try to stand up." He laughs, and I do just that.
I don't get far, before I fall flat on my butt, back onto the colorful toy.
He slows it down and lets me get off, laughing as I try to keep my balance.
He puts his arm around my waist to keep me standing, and I can't help but smile.
"Swings?" I shout as soon as I see them.
He nods. "Swings."
By then, we are both racing to the swing, and I push his shoulder to get myself ahead.
"Not fair." He rolls his eyes playfully, before making his way behind me.
He positions his hands on my sides, causing a grin to cover my face.
He pulls me lightly, before dropping contact, as I fly on the swing up into the air.
Every time I come close to him, he gives my rump at push, causing me to blush.
This boy's got me feeling some type of way.
After using all the equipment, we decide to walk over to the pond.
He wraps his arm around my waist as we walk, and I pull my hair out from behind my ears to cover my blush.
We take a seat at the side of the pond, and watch as different colored ducks swim around in the water.
He never drops his arm from my waist, and I lean my head against his shoulder.
A few minutes of comfortable silence go by, before Hayes breaks that.
"You know, Megan." He begins, not taking his eyes away from the pond. "I like you."
I feel my heart speed up at his words.
I don't reply right away. "I like you too, Hayes."
Slowly, he moves his eyes from the water to me.
I can't help but stare at him, his beautiful blue eyes sparking, his dark hair falling perfectly onto his face.
Suddenly, he's leaning in and I find myself doing the same.
Before I know it, were closing our eyes and inching closer and closer.
"I want you, Megan." Hayes barely whispers, our lips brushing at this point.
I feel our lips collide, and at that moment, I had never felt the same about him.
The kiss becomes more intense, and eventually, I feel his tongue gliding over my lips, and I can't help but part them.
His tongue makes it's way onto mine, and they move in sync, which causes me to giggle.
Before the kiss can get any further, I lift up and look at him.
We both stare at each other, catching our breath.
I hadn't had my first kiss.
Hayes, was my first kiss.
I'd say, I win at life.
Hayes takes his hand away from my waist, and puts it on my jaw.
"Megan, I.." He begins, taking in my facial features. "I think I love you."
I smile up at him.
"I think.." I look down at the grass for a moment, before looking back up. "I think I want to be with you." I make a brave move.
He doesn't say anything immediately, but he doesn't take his eyes off of me.
"I want to be with you too." He says, making my heart speed up.
"But, i'm on tour. I wouldn't want either of us to go through that." He sighs, putting his hand over mine.
I nod understandingly, looking down at our hands.
"But, Megan." He begins, lifting my chin up with his hand. "I want to make it work."
I can't help but smile. I can see it in his eyes, he's real.
I don't reply. I only sit and take in his beautiful features.
"We could make it work?" He asks, placing his hand back on mine.
"Right?"
I don't reply. I only lean into the handsome boy in front of me, and kiss his lips softly, placing my hand on his cheek.
I can tell he's shocked, but he quickly adjusts and cups my face with his hands.
After a few moments, I lift up and look at him.
"Be mine?" He asks, hope clear behind his cheeky smile.
I giggle, shaking my head lightly.
I don't reply automatically, I just look up at him.
He takes my hands in his, and I lace our fingers together.
I look down at our hands, and then back up to him.
He rubs his thumb across my hand, watching me with a sparkle in his eyes.
Without hesitation, I smile up at him and nod.
"Okay."
He pulls me into a hug, kissing the top of my head.
We can make it work.
Right?
