Veronica was not just beautiful, she was absolutely stunning; she was also innately evil. She had long, silky, black hair, and I smile that, despite being gorges, screamed of evil intent. Her perfect, ski slope nose was turned up, and her sparkling, green eyes glared at Jane as she approached the cafe table where Veronica and Spencer were waiting.

Jane felt almost afraid of the girl, but she pushed past her fear and initial reaction and greeted her in the friendliest way possible. "Hi, you must be Veronica. I'v heard so much about you, I'ts great to finally be meeting you!" It had been two weeks since Spencer and Veronica's first date, and they had been officially dating for a week, but Veronica had been making excuses to not meet Jane.

"And your'e Jane." Veronica replied coldly.

"I got you a cappuccino" Spencer said, handing a Jane a coffee cup. He seemed oblivious to the tension between the two girls.

Jane took the cup with a smile and sat down. It was incredibly awkward, but Spencer did not seem to notice. He took Veronica's hand, and Jane caught a slight grimace on the girls face before it was replaced with a sweet smile and a giggle.

"Why is she with him? She dosen't even seem to like him." Jane wondered. "No, that's crazy. Maybe I'm just being selfish and not wanting to share my friend." But she could still not shake the feeling that something was wrong about Veronica.

"So, Veronica, where are you from?" Jane asked trying to act like everything was fine.

"Iv'e lived lots of places." She replied condescendingly. "But most recently I'm from France."

"That's so cool, do you speak french?" Jane tried to keep the conversation friendly.

"Of course I do. I am fluent in Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, German, Mandarin, and Dutch as well."

" Oh well then, are you majoring in foreign language?" Jane was starting to get sick of this girls attitude.

"I just know those from all the amazing places I have lived. I'm a performing arts major, actually a double Major in dance and classical viola."

"She is an amazing dancer!" Spencer chimed in. "And she is in a sorority!!! Isn't that the coolest?"

"Yup," Jane thought. "I officially hate her."

"Yeah, that's really cool." She lied.

The conversation carried on in a similar fashion for about half an hour when Veronica started to whine to Spencer that she was getting tired of this "Boring, old cafe," that happened to be one of Jane's favorites, and that she wanted to be alone with him. So Spencer said goodbye to Jane, and left with his beautiful and suspicious girlfriend. Jane was not happy.
