The next week went by extremely slow. Everyone hoping to leave, but turning out they have have another 4 hours. Link on the other hand wasn't so excited to go home. He was more clingy towards Rhett lately. Stevie kept an eye on Link when he wasn't around Rhett, hoping he's okay. Asking him if he needs anything. But he just says no.
LINK POV:
Why am I so clingy towards him lately? Christy and I talked about we need to change up a little bit. And I'm trying. Why do I feel so comforted to hang on him. Yeah Christy and I cuddle all the time. But this seems different.
~'Don't you ever think this life is...sort of boring... weekends seem repetitive... It just seems boring now.'~
I can't seem to get this out of my head. Does she think I'm boring. Is she falling out of love with me?
'Link?' A small soft voice piped up.
I looked over, 'oh, Hey Rhett. Do you need something?'
'No, it's just...you're hanging onto my arm. Its...making my arm loose blood circulation.' Rhett and I looked down.
I gasped and let go of his arm in embarrassment.
RHETT POV:
After Link let go of my arm, I give him a weird worried look. He's never done this before.
'Are you okay man? It's not like you to hang onto people, especially me.' I rub my arm.
'Yeah. I'm fine. It's just--' Link spoke then stopped suddenly.
'What man, what is it? You can tell me anything.' I do worry about him. He goes in fazes of sadness a lot. I love him, he's my best friend. Of course I'm going to worry about him.
'Christy and I talked Sunday morning. She told me our life's boring now, it doesn't have excitement. I don't know man. She might be falling out of love with me.' He sat down and looked at me with tears in his eyes.
'Look Link, she's not falling out of love with you, you're perfect for her. And she's perfect for you. You guys are inseparable. Just like Jessie and me. How about this weekend we just go do something for adults? Like a bar. A club? Something. We can get babysitters man. It'll be fun.' Link looked cheerful at me after I said that. I do hope we can find a babysitter.
