Dean grew up wanting to wrestle. It was his passion. Dean said that his escape from Cincinnati, was wrestling. Ambrose was a huge fan of Bret "The Hitman" Hart. He also loved ECW because he felt like it connected to his life in violent ways. He was addicted to ECW.
His dream match is Dean Ambrose vs. Jake "The Snake" Roberts.
As a child, Dean lived in public housing.
