Yay! Chapter 13 is out and I hope you like it :)

A quiet yawn came from Sakuno, as she stretched her back from the good night sleep. The beds were better than other camp beds, probably because Hyotei owned the place.

"Got a good night sleep?"

She looked at the door, and saw Shin who was leaning against the wall with a smile.

"Eh, are you already up, Shin-chan?" Sakuno asked surprised.

"Yup, I couldn't sleep anymore" Shin answered. "Those damn birds kept chirping, and I can't scare them away..."

"Why not?"

"'Cause I attract animals. If I try to scare them away, it'll have the opposite effect. It's a real pain."

She pushed her off the wall and sat down on the bed.

"So...what's going on between you and Ryoma?"

"W-What do you mean?!" Sakuno asked embarrassed.

"Don't this "what do you mean" again" Shin sighed annoyed. "I know there's something going on between you two, why else would you call each other by your first names?"

"W-We're good friends..."

"Come on, Ryoma doesn't call anybody by their first name. Only those he really care about."

"But he calls you by your first name too."

"Just like everyone else, so that doesn't really count" she smiled.

A light red color came into sight on Sakuno's cheeks.

"Haha, so that's it, huh? Though, I'm sure Ryoma feels the same way about you."

She sighed as she stood up from the bed.

"Shin-chan?"

"Yeah?"

"Have you ever had anyone close very to you other than your family?"

Silence.

"I did once...but they weren't really as close to me as I was to them. But who cares? It's just going to be a pain in the end."

"But why?" Sakuno stood up and walked up to her. "Why is a pain to let someone close to you?"

Shin kept turning her back on her. She could see that her face was sad, like some bad memories had turned up in her head. At the end she just smiled.

"It just is" she said and walked out the room while waving with her bandaged hand. "There's breakfast out there, it looks real fancy. But you know what they say...."

She looked over her shoulder; the light from the morning sun out lined her body clearer, and her Turkish green eyes glittered.

"Don't judge a book by its cover."

She began to walk again, while Sakuno looked amazed at her. How could a person be so beautiful and confident, but so mysterious on the same time. She couldn't feel like she wanted to know her better. Like she wanted to become one of the persons she would open up to.

"Kyaaa~~" Shin sighed while clapping her stomach and leaned against the wall. "That was the best meal I ever had in ages~"

"I'm happy you liked it" a too well known voice said.

She looked to her right and there stood Mr. Spoiled brat with a cheeky smile.
