"Seamus stop tickling me, you twat!" Harry shouts and swerves to the right. "We are on the fucking road, could you please think of that?" she asks with a huff, glaring at her Irish friend who just smiles innocently.

"Don't be such a spoilsport, Harriet. We are free, dude!" Dean says, Seamus' kind of sort of boyfriend who is tagging along with them because Seamus couldn't come without supervision.

Harry kind of regrets taking the two with her on the road trip.

"We are driving in your weird old Volkswagen bus and exploring the British Isles, there is nothing better!" he exclaims, looking at Harriet with wide, imploring eyes.

"My name is Harry, I'm not a dude, and don't insult Hedwig—she is amazing," Harry huffs and strokes the steering wheel of her old red bus. "I got her from Sirius and she is still in mint condition. So shut up, enjoy the view, or each other, but please quit bothering me while I drive," she grumbles, tucking one stubborn strand of black hair behind her ear.

Seamus mock-salutes her and grins. "Yes, boss!" He calls and tugs Dean with him into the back of the bus.

Harry can't hide her smile and continues driving.
She has wanted to do this for so long and now she has finally graduated and is ready to conquer the world like her parents have done.

The sun is setting slowly and casting a warm glow over the hills and over the guy and the girl standing at the side of the road, sticking their thumbs out.

Harry thinks about it and then again swerved, but now to the left, stopping her bus with a sputter and bang of the engine.

"Hop in!" she calls and opens the door.

Grey eyes and hair like pale gold shine into her general direction, belonging to a face that should be illegal to be so sodding sexy even with that smirk.

"Don't cramp the way in, Draco, move your ass!" someone calls behind the girl and Harriet looks up into dark eyes in a far too attractive, angular face and have they kidnapped models now?

"Shut it, Blaise," the girl snarks back and hops into Harry's bus, tugging a green, battered backpack along.
"Thanks for taking us with you. We are on our way to explore the Isles before we go to uni and Blaise thought it funny if we tramp," she explains, pointing a slender finger at the dark skinned boy, who is now happily conversing with Dean and Seamus. "I am Draco, by the way," she says and sticks out a hand, sitting down beside Harriet, putting her hair up in a bun and stretching her long legs. "And that twat over there - 'Hey!' - is my best friend Blaise."

"Harry," Harry answers, shaking the other girl's hand and being a bit transfixed by the light grey eyes now getting hidden behind a pair of stylish aviators. "... Right..." she finally says."You can come with us as long as you like," she offers, restarting her bus with a little bang that has the other girl chuckling.

Then she ventures them back out onto the road and concentrates on the road, listening to the radio and slightly bopping along, not caring to change her rituals just because some strangers had joined them. Seconds later Seamus and Dean join in, singing along and Harry grins.

It is great being on the road with friends and people she technically doesn't not know.

And then the girl next to her smiles and it makes  Harry want to get her guitar and sing a song about the moon in her eyes.

Sometimes you just have to take the unknown road.
