I'm reeeaaallly sorry for not updating sooner. I went to my aunt’s house for the weekend, and she lives 3 hours from where I do. AND MY DAD WOULDN’T LET ME TAKE MY LAPTOP! So yeah, I couldn’t write this weekend. I actually started this chapter on Friday, but when I got back to my laptop yesterday I was trying for ages to finish the chapter I couldn’t get back into it, so I started again and wrote this chapter today. This chapter was really hard to write, and most of the time I was stroking my imaginary beard :P And I'm sorry for not sending out a message saying why I couldn’t update, but for some reason Wattpad wouldn’t let me write one on my message board, or maybe it was just my laptop being difficult again L But anyway, hope you all enjoy this chapter :D

And dedicated to that person ^^ just because they showed so much love for the last chapter <3

*Kyle's POV*

Mind. Blowing. That’s all that can describe today's lunch break. I mean, I found out that the guy who has captured my attention without even trying is gay. And then he was about to kiss me! WHY THE HELL DID THE BELL HAVE TO RING?!! It could have waited ten seconds at least.

So yeah, I'm holding back the mother of all pouts right now, and have been for the last couple of hours. The last bell just rang, and though I was glad school was over, at the same time I didn’t want it to end. Going home meant I wouldn’t be with Shaw anymore. And even though I've spent all day with him, I know I'll miss him until I see him again tomorrow.

We're all walking toward the parking lot when Jake's phone buzzes in his pocket. He pulls it out of his pocket and a small frown forms on his face as he reads it. He lets out a small curse before looking up at us and saying apologetically "sorry Kyle, I won't be able to drive you home tonight. Coach called a meeting, but apparently I missed the memo since, well, you know what Mrs Evan's is like." Yeah, I did know what our homeroom teacher was like. She's a nice woman and all, but always forgets to read out notices.

"Nah, its fine, don’t worry about it. I could just walk home" I suggest with a shrug, even though it looks like it's going to start raining soon. And by the electrical charge in the air around us that’s making the hairs on my arms stand up, it's likely there's gonna be some thunder, possibly lightning too. So I'll probably look like a drowned rat by the time I get home.

To my right I hear Shaw snort before saying "don’t be stupid. It's gonna rain soon, I'll drive you"

"You don't have too, I don’t m—"

Before I can finish my sentence I'm interrupted by him saying "it's no problem. I have to drive through your neighbourhood to get home anyway."

I considered it and decided that it was better than drowning, so I just said "okay" and turned to say bye to Jake, only to realise he was already gone. I'm sad I didn’t get to say bye to him, since I won't be seeing him this weekend, but not surprised considering coach would probably bench him in the first game if he was late for the meeting.

I feel Shaw's hand on my elbow, tugging slightly to get my attention. I turn and look at him with a smile, then follow him to his car that sits in the parking lot. I don’t know how long we were stood outside school, and we were a little late getting out of there anyway because our last lesson was taught by one of those teachers that talks and drones on until the bell rings, then spends the next five minutes explaining homework that only half of the class will do. So when we get to the car park it's almost empty, only a few people mulling about, talking or walking to their cars.

Shaw unlocks the car and we climb in, me sinking into the passenger seat with a relaxed sigh. It's so comfortable in this car. I hear Shaw chuckle a little at my actions, and before I know it we're going through town and in the direction of my house, after he tosses our bags onto the back seats. The only sound is the purr of the engine, as we sit in a comfortable silence.
