I gasped, "Really?"
"Yes, by a single mother. Her child has grown up, her husband has died and she is lonely. Best part is that she loves a challenge. Her other child was adopted too, had horrible anger issues." Gerard said, satisfied.
"That is such a shame Heather. I was looking forward to showing you to my wife." Mikey said. Though he was trying very hard to be sincere his voice sounded relieved.
Gerard smirked, "Actually, Heather will be staying with us for about a month. Her new mom is on a trip in another country. Glad you volenteered Mikey."
Mikey face paled and his voice became uncertain, "Actually how about we all take turns with her. A week each. Please?"
The others exchanged glances, but ended up nodding.
"Sounds fair to me." Ray said as he nodded.
"So... Who wants her first?" Gerard asked.
"I will!" Mikey said quickly. He looked like he just wanted to get it over with.
"Okay, I will take her second." Gee replied.
"I shall be third." Ray said, blankly. He was not really paying attention. Probably day dreaming about his wife.
"And I will take her last." Frank sighed. He knew that I would have a horrid attitude by the time I got to his house.
I grabbed Mikey by his hoodie and went into my room and started packing my bags. This time I actually helped Mikey pack them.
"Heather?" Mikey looked at me with his eyes large and his voice full of hope, "Would you please try not to annoy my wife? I love her a lot and... I really do not want you to hurt her. So could you complement her cooking and try to be polite?"
I scoffed and halfheartidly replied, "Guess I can try."
Mikey stood up obviously angry, and glared at me. He was actually scaring me and I felt as though his eyes were boreing holes through my head. I had never seen him look anything like this before.
With his eyes gleaming with fury and determination he held his face inches from mine and drew out every word, "You will not do anything to my wife or we will immidiatly put you in foster care. No, better! We will give you to those people that killed your family!"
I knew he was just trying to will me into behaving through fear, like I had done to others so often, but it still made me terrified. I simply can not explain the tremendous fear I was feeling, the betrayal I felt that I shouldn't of. He hadn't given me to the murders, but the fact that he brought it up scared the living daylights out of me.
I could not stop the warm salty tears that pored down my face as I locked sprinted to the closet and locked myself in it, sobbing and shaking. Images of my family being bound up and tortured came to my mind and one by one, in my head they were killed off. Last, the killers had me and slowly they painfully tortured me, with Ray, Frank, Mikey, and Gerard watching. As I cried out the band members just smiled and shook thier heads.
My nightmare of a day dream was awoken by Gerard breaking off the door to the closet. Frank scooped me into his arms as Gerard set the broken door on the bed.
"Oh my god, Heather! I am so sorry. I should never have went there, I am just so protective of my wife." His eyes were full of regret and shame.
Frank frowned at him, "How could you tell her we were basically going to kill her if she did not behave? She is just a child. A horrible bratty, bad attitude child, but still a child."
Even with the insults Frank made me feel safe.
I looked up at him and smiled, "Oh, Frank, I bet you are a wonderful dad."
He grinned the proudest grin I had ever seen and smiled widly, "Why thank you."
"Heather, I... Well... Look, could you please just try to be kind to my wife? She truly is a good woman..." Mikey mumbles, not wanting to upset me again.
"Mikey, if it really means that much to you then I swear that I will not say single mean thing the whole time I am at your house."
Mikey's face lit up like a Christmas tree and he hugged me too, "Thanks. Just thank you, Heather."
A week without insults? What had I done? Watch out Gerard, because by the time I get to your house... I will be like a bomb ready to explode, with tons of anger and insults jam packed inside.
