Chapter One
I looked out my window as we sped down the highway. We were moving to North Carolina after my mom got transfered for work. We had been in the car for ages it seemed like. Last time I was here for holidays, I had made a friend, Jessica. We had exchanged numbers and had been in contact for 3 years almost. When I told her I was moving to NC she was thrilled. She couldn't wait to see me again. I grabbed my iPhone and pluged my ear phones in. I was clicked on Mirrors by Justin Timberlake. A few seconds into the song, my phone vibrated in my lap. I looked down and it was a text from Jessica. I smiled and answered it.
'Hey. U in NC yet?' She asked. I looked out my window and saw a sign that said 'Leaving Virgina.' then one a few seconds later that said 'Entering North Carolina'.
'Just crossed the border.' I replied.
'Sweet.' She texted back.
"Yeah ikr' I sent back.
'Yeah. U should come by when u guys get settled in :)' She sent back.
'That sounds good :)'
'Were having a bonfire next week. Maybe yall can come :)'
'That sounds cool. Hold on let me ask.' I said.
'Ok.'
'And mom likes you so i doubt she'll say no :)' I sent hopefully.
'Lol ok. :)'
"Hey mom?" I asked sitting up and putting my head on the console of the car.
"Yes dear?" She said never taking her eyes off the road.
"Umm.. Jessica wants to know if when we get settled in if I can go to a bonfire?" I asked crossing my fingers, hopeing she'll say yes.
"When is it?" She asked.
"Sometime next week." I said.
"We'll see." She said smiling. "Depends on how things go this first week."
"Ok." I said smiling.
"Are you in contact with her now?" Mom asked.
"Yeah, I'm texting her."
"Tell her I said hey and we'll see." She said.
"Ok." I replied sliding back down into my seat.
"If she gets to go can I come?" My younger brother, Daniel, asked from beside me.
"Hey if anyone is going with her to a party, it'll be me." My older brother, Jake, replied from the front seat. Everyone was in the car except for my dad. Who was driving the moving van behind us.
"Guys, I don't even know if she'll be going yet." Mom spoke up. "And beside it's her friend inviting her so unless she invites you guys, you can't go."
"Alright, fine." Daniel said.
"Hey," I said ruffling his hair. "I'll ask if you can go, if it'll make you happy." I smiled at him.
"Can you?" He asked. I wanted to take him but he was only five and I didn't want him to get hurt.
"Yes I can. But there will probably be a lot of older people there and not many little kids your age." I told him. "And you'll have to stay with me."
"Ok." He replied smiling. I smiled back at him before texting Jess back.
'She said to tell you hey and we'll see.' I told her.
'Ok.' She replied.
'Oh and my bros wants to know if they can come? I told them bc u were my friend and stuff that u'd probably saw no.. but they didnt listen.'
'Danny to??' She asked.
'Yeah..?' I said.
'But he's only 5..' She said.
'I know.. but he still wants to know. i told him there might not be that many younger kids there.'
'Actually there will be no kids under the age of 13 i think..' She said.
'Oh ok.'
'Jake can go tho. He's 17 right?' She asked.
'Yeah.'
'Well he can go then. If he wants.'
'Ok. ' I said kinda disaponted.
"Hey Meg, did you ask her?" Jake said.
"Ask who what?" I asked.
"Did you ask your friend if we could go?" He said. I then got a text from jess.
'But if you don't want hiim to go just tell him it's a girl party. :)' She said.
'Haha ok :)'
"Meg?" He said.
"Sorry. No you can't." I said making my voice sad.
"But why..?" Daniel asked.
"Yeah why?" Jake joined in.
"Because Jess said it was a girls party. No guys allowed." I said.
"Oh, ok." Danny said. "I guess that's ok then."
"Hey maybe next time, k?" I put my arm around his small shoulders.
"Ok." He smiled.
"Can I at least drive you there?" Jake asked.
"Why?" I said. I know why, I said to myself. He wants to see if any of the girls that's going to be there are hot.
"I don't know. 'Cause I want to?" He said turning around looking at me.
"No I'll let mom take me." I said. "Or if it's alright with her, Jess can pick me up." He sighed and turned back around.
"Fine." He grumbled. I texted Jess for a few more minutes then she had to go. She said She would text me back soon though. I turned up my music and soon fell asleep to the soothing voice of Harry Styles and the other members of One Direction sang "More Than This".
A/N: Another story!! Yaay! :D Hope you guys like it :) My friend wanted a dark Harry so here goes nothing! :P Hopefully you guys will liike it :) And yes I'm still writing the other 2 stories :)
