Guys this is set in the 1920's so don't expect to know everything these characters are talking about because I tried to use vocabulary that they might use in that time to make it more realistic for you. If you don't know what something means just ask and I'll get back to you ASAP.
Enjoy
"Stiles, pour me a double on the rocks!" I laughed, strolling into Derek Hale's Speakeasy. Since moving to The Windy City, Hale's place had become like a second home to me. Stiles, the barman was the closest thing I had to a best friend in Chicago, and any friend that supplies me with a certain amount of alcohol becomes more like a brother over time. He'd got me a job with m'new boss Mr Hale, who owned this ritzy joint. Of course I won't be lying to myself, I work with some serious hoods and I can't say that I haven't bumped off a few eggs and been threatened with the clubhouse. Fortunately I haven't been nailed yet, so I can still rock down here and spend a pair of C's down here every few nights.
Plus, my pal Stiles introduced me to the love of my life.
"Where have y'been Scotty?!" Stiles grinned, sliding the drink across the bar to me.
"Aiden nicked a couple of marbles from a right Jane and the fuzz nailed him for it, Derek payed a grand for him to get out of the pen so Ethan wouldn't drop out of the biz" I sighed, knocking back the glass, "We didn't need no gumshoes rolling in here with an excuse to look for jack and the high pillow's reefers"
"Boss doesn't like to be behind the eight ball" Stiles shrugged, "Just dip the bill and forget about it for tonight, you already look like the cat's meow if that's any consolation"
"Well you gotta look dapper when you're dizzy with a dame" I pointed out, straightening my tie and looking around the jazz filled room.
"You make it look like duck soup, I still can't get Lydia Martin to give me a break"
"That's because Lydia Martin is a flapper, and she's a kitten not looking to be a squeeze" I smirked.
"Ain't she dating Aiden anyways... Kinda makes me wish he'd had a three spot" Stiles growled, pouring me another drink.
"Play nice or he'll fill you with daylight" I snapped back, "You're my friend and I don't exactly want you drilled"
"Admit it, next to Aiden I'm a daisy" he wallowed, "My momma always said I was keen and square but now I just feel like a sap. Lydia even flirts with you and you're moll is her best friend"
"You're not a sap, Lydia doesn't flirt with me" I chuckled, "And Aiden's nothing but a red hot sheik, but I don't wanna hear that you've given him a Mickey Finn instead of his Tiger Milk"
"I'll bet on the bangtails instead"
"Put me in on a double sawbuck" I sighed.
"You got it... And uh, Scott, your gals here" Stiles smiled past me, "What will it be Miss Argent?"
"She'll have a Fallen Angel, you should always drink something that describes what you are" I smirked as the beautiful brunette made her way to the bar and placed a soft kiss on my cheek.
"Well aren't you a live wire tonight"
"Aw come on Allison, you know how I hate to be the killjoy" I grinned, "Especially not for a beautiful broad such as yourself"
"To think Lydia calls you a bruno" she giggled.
"You sayin' I ain't tough?" I raised my eyebrow, "I've knocked off a couple of hombres"
"You're a sweetheart, and I love it"
"Cash or check?" I smiled, slinging an arm loosely around her thin waist and leaning towards her, she shot me a look.
