Chapter 9 "Welcome To Syco"

~Niall's POV~

After a looong couple of months, it was time for the finally. It had come down to Us, Matt, and Rebekah. The lads and I were more then excited to have made it all the way through. To say I was nervous for tonight would be a major understatement. Tonight would revile how the rest of our futures would plan out.

We were minutes away from finding out who would get third place and would leave the show with nothing but great memories and hopes of a different record deal. The lads and I were standing in a line, arms wrapped around each other for comfort, heads lowered, like we always stood, waiting to hear who had lost, who was going home.

I glanced over at Bekah who was standing side stage, clutching a little teddy bear someone had sent her along with a bunch of other stuff we had gotten from the shows fans. I sent her a smile smile which she returned before I looked back at the floor. I heard the crowd scream loudly letting my know the show was back from commercials which just meant we were that much closer to finding out the loser.

"And now, time to reveal third place." The hosts voice echoed in my ears. Over the crowed I heard the rustle of the envelope. "In third place, is...." Long pause... "One Direction!"

The second I heard our name my heart just dropped. This was it. This is where our paths ended. We didn't win, we didn't get the record deal. We were done. I felt the arms of my bands mates slip from my shoulders as we all slumped in disappointment. We heard several boos but we just nodded, excepting our fate. We all got hugs from Matt and Rebekah and waved to the crowd as we walked off stage.

The second we got back stage I knew we all broke down. I was in tears, Harry was in tears in his mums arms, Louis was close to tears, Zayn was pulling at his hair and Liam had fallen down into a chair with his head in his hands. I had fallen onto the ground somewhere by Liams chair, not even sensing the little girl by my side till I felt some crawl into my life and cuddle their head into my chest.

"Is okay Daddy?" Bekah's little voice asked. I looked down at her, wiping off some of my tears that dripped onto her face before wiping them off mine.

"I don't think so, not this time baby..." I told her sadly. She frowned up at me. I hugged her to my chest, burying my head in her hair.

After the show the lads and I were head out of the studio, heading back to the main house to get our stuff and have a final dinner. Before we could leave though we were pulled aside by a crew member asking us to follow him. After walking down a few hallways, going around a few corners, and passing a lot of doors we finally stopped at one.

"Please wait here." The crew member said, we all nodded silently. He slipped through the door and the lads and I all exchanged strange glances with each other.

I hitched Bekah higher up on my hip as the crew member came back out and told us to go in. When we walked in we found Simon, or as we had come to call him, Uncle Si sitting at a round table with five other chairs. Bekah let out a small squeal and pulled out of my grip, jumping to the ground and running over to Simon who she had quickly become attached to over our time her on the X-Factor. Simon picked her up and set her on his lap before telling the rest of us to take a seat. Slowly, one by one we all took a seat at the round table.

"I bet you boys are wondering why your here." Simon said and we all nodded silently. "Well, I've been thinking hard about this all season, but of course it all just depended on tonight. But, I would like to offer you all, as a group, a position at my record compainy." He said calmly. There was a long silence as we were all shocked by this offer. We looked around at each other with Wide eyes and curious gazes. Slowly we all broke out into big grin, all looking at Simon.

"Yes!" We cheered at the same time. Simon smiled at us all.

"Congratulations boys. Welcome to Syco Music."

(A/N: New chapter!!! Whoohoo!! Sorry it's really short, I'm trying to make this story as long as possible, and that means short chapters.

MAJOR QUESTION!!! PLEASE ANSWER!!!

So, I have this small idea for this story, that might make it longer, but it would make this story a Niam BoyXBoy story. I wanted to know if you guys would have a problem with that? I don't want to write anything that would make me loose reads so PLEASE let me know!!
