"AVERY! WAKE UP!" said this annoying voice who was interrupting my beautiful sleep. It was obviously no one other than my mother.
"AVERY! STOP BEING LAZY GET YOUR ASS UP! DINNER IS ALMOST READY!" My mom said, I better get up, she hates it when people are late for dinner, especially when someone "special" is coming over for dinner.
"What mom?" I said groggily, getting up off the couch, I must've fell asleep, while I was watching re-runs of gossip girl.
"Avery, we have company coming over in an hour! Please dress nice, and presentable, okay? Go up and freshen up!" she said pushing me towards the stairs.
"Fine, Fine, I'm going, calm down" I mumbled as I walked up the stairs and into my room, I love my room so much. This place is my private getaway from everything. My wall colors are a vibrant zaffre blue. I have accents of peach, lilac and mint green with cream and sparkly accents of those five colors. Its roomy and spacious. The perfect combination. I have a selection of posters that range from Lana Del Rey to Channing Tatum.
I walked over to my creamy white vanity set and sat down. I stared at myself. I stared into my sleepy hazel eyes, and looked at my wild curly brown hair. I really need to do something with my appearance. I'm going to 10th grade for God's sake. I need to finally start socializing, being shy and stop hiding behind Marianna's shadow, or the beautiful Meredith, the sporty Jake and the smart Lucas James' younger, weirder, dorky little sister. I want to be known as Avery James. THE Avery James.
I want to finally make my mark in this world, or rather school I guess.
After my deep thinking moment I decided to finally get ready for dinner. I showered, combed my hair, dried off, put some mousse, and a little bit of gel on it. Yes, I need these products, or I'd be looking like one of those dogs that have so much hair, that you can't see their face. No joke. I decided to wear my hair down.
I walked out of my en suite bathroom and into my closet. After ten minutes I decided on a fitted black with small white polka dots short dress that has a white collar on it. I decided to wear black tights and red pumps with them.
After putting my clothes on, since I forgot to put on makeup before putting on my clothes: I put on some very black mascara, brown eyeliner, and some powder.
"So, La da di da di,
We like to party,
Dancing with Miley,
Doing whatever we want,
This is our house, This is our rules,
And We Can't Stop, and We Won't Stop"
My phone rang, singing "We Can't Stop" by Miley Cyrus. I love this song. I'm not that fond of her now but I love this song! Back in my younger days I was in love with 'Hanna Montana'.
The caller I.D. said it was Marianna.
"Hello?" I said picking up my phone
"Hey Boo! Are we still on for hanging out tomorrow?" she said.
"Absolutely! Why?" I questioned.
"I was just letting you know that i'm going to be at my Mom's so, do you want me to get someone to come pick you up or are you going to meet me there?" she questioned.
"Uhm, I'll meet you there. Okay?"
"Okay, Anything new today?" She questioned.
"Nothing, someone is coming over for dinner so I had to look presentable, Mere, Jake, and Luc are all here" I told her and just as I heard laughter and voices downstairs.
