Wren walked into an empty room of an abandoned warehouse she had snuck into. Thinking in quiet places had always been her thing. Her friends knew she had always been an introverted person, a very prepared person. Always thinking about her future and how she would become a Psychologist or a teacher. Get a steady job and live a normal life. That's all she wanted to do. But what had been happening lately had been keeping her from thinking about this for once. Had kept her from worrying about her grades. Her mind had been occupied by an abundance of thoughts that if were heard by other people, she would be thought of as insane. At least that is what she thought. She worried she was different, and that she would be hated and despised. One of her many fears.
Lately she had been feeling things. Not things that many teenages would or should feel. She didn't worry about her boyfriend cheating on her, or her friends telling the whole school she was still scared of the dark. She was worried that she would have to go to a mental hospital, that she would be locked away until she went insane. She had made things move and made things fall.
Wren finally uttered a word out to herself, " If only I could tell someone. I dont know what is happening", She cried, "Why is this happening to me? I just want to be normal!" She slid down the wall until she was sitting and layed her head down on her knees. "Ok. I need to stop. Im going to be fine." She reassured herself.
She stared at a bright window thinking about all of her worries, until it shattered. She took a heavey breath and pushed herself as far as she could into the wall, hiding from her power. She stood up and ran out of the room. She walked out of the warehouse, ducking under a board that said 'No Trespassing'.
She tried to think of something else. About her classes or friends, anything. But she couldn't. She thought that if maybe she told someone, she would feel better. But then again, they wouldn't believe her. She kept her mouth shut and walked down the sidewalk with her hands in her coat pockets. With every, heavy, shaking breath she could see the cold air coming from her lungs. She didnt want to go home. She didnt want to see anyone. She wanted to run away. But she never would. She is too good. She never even skipped class or missed a single day of school, there is no way she could run away, or for the most part make it on her own.
She kept walking in silence and thinking about everything that had hit her all at once, until she heard someone yell her name. "Hey, Wren!" She turned around to see her boyfriend Adam.
