I had a few minutes before my meeting with Scarecrow. Apperently he refused to leave in the middle of his conversation with Riddler so it bought me some time. As a guard brought in Scarecrow he threw him inside my office in the same matter he did to Edward. I ran to his side to help him up.

I mumbled under my breath "I swear to God the nerve of these bastards...'' but I blushed as I saw Dr. Crane look at me with a smirk lying across his face.

I went to my chair as I introduced myself ''Hello Dr. Crane. My name is--"

"The famous Dr. Darwin. Riddler told me about you. Said something was different about you. You treat us inmates like human beings instead of animals." Dr. Crane said.

I blinked, not knowing what to say. When I finally found my voice I said ''Well of couse. You are human. And I've read your file Dr. Crane. You were once a very respected doctor. A brillaint one at that. What happened?''

"Fear. Fear drives everything. Your live is governed by fear. Every decision you make is a product of that fear.''

''Well of course Dr. Crane. Fear drives us. We marry out of fear of dying alone. We have childen because we are scared of leaving nothing behind that really matters. And we go to the doctors because we are scared of death.'' I answered. And he stared at me with a blank expression.

Then his expression changed to extreme happiness. He stood up, reached for me across the table and embraced me as much as he could with cuffs on. He cried out ''FINALLY SOMEONE UNDERSTANDS!! OH WHAT A GLORIOUS DAY! A DOCTOR FINALLY INTELLEGENT ENOUGH TO UNDERSTAND MY VIEW ON THE WORLD AND FEAR!" He shouted.

The guard came in a restrained Dr. Crane from me and I pushed him off Crane, telling him that Dr. Crane has done nothing wrong to me. I requested that the guard left us and I helped Dr. Crane to his chair.

''Dr. Crane--'' he cut me off "Darline, you may call me Jonathan. Or Johnny. Whichever one you prefer".  I smiled at having the honor to call one of the formor most intelligent doctor from Arkham has taken a liking to me.

We continued to talk about his time as a doctor, the experiments he did and before I knew it time was up. I frowned at the clock indicating it was past our session time. I sighed and told Johnny that he had to go. I gave him a small smile, which he returned and told him goodbye and called the guards.

Two Down, Two more to go.
