"Hurry Dracora." My father spoke quietly to me as he led me to one of his hidden emergency pods. I nodded quickly knowing we needed to be silent. The plants had started killing little over two hours ago since the public announcement of the Nuke War. They haven't attacked many innocents yet but there have been reports of it slowly happening.
The only reason we weren't attacked yet was because my fathers connection with them but it was slowly shattering, I could feel it.
"Daddy." I whispered.
He shushed me as we heard a loud whipping sound coming from the vines that hung on the trees surrounding us. He picked me up quickly and began to run. "When I put you down, you need to run with out me." He told me, I clung to him shaking my head.
"I don't want to lose you too!" My voice shook as tears came to my eyes.
"I'm sorry Dracora." He whispers.
"Run, Dracora!" He yelled as he set me on the ground. And I listened I ran as fast as I could.
My eyes quickly opened and I sat up in the copilot seat. I let a relief breath out through my nose. "Nightmare?" A voice asked making me jump and turn my head quickly. Oh, it's just Rocket.... Dammit Gamora, so much for girls looking out for each other. "Um yes..." I answered quietly. I rubbed my face sighing.
"Do... Do you want to talk about it?" Rocket hesitantly asked as he glanced at me.
"No, I'd rather not.... But there is something I need to discuss with you." I spoke softly.
Ah, damn. I ran my mouth again and spoke without thinking. We were both silent for a couple minutes. "Well! What is it?!" Rocket asked impatiently, right forgot about his temper and impatience. I cleared my throat. "Right well, you remember when my eyes flashed pink at Klyn, right?" I asked as I began to nervously play with my gloved hands. Rocket nodded, "Yeah I remember, it was weird. Can you get on with it?" Rocked questioned and I nodded quickly. I need to get it over and done with.
"Well, you see me and you.. we have this.. How should I put it?" I rambled getting more nervous.
Rocket gave me a slight annoyed look. "Right, sorry. Um, Yes so I am a Faunus-"
"I know that already." Rocket cut in with an eye roll.
"Shut up, this is very difficult for me to do." I muttered angrily and he nodded. "Fine, fine just stop taking so long." He tells me. He is making this very hard to do. "Faunus have a weird trait. Our eyes flash pink whenever we find a soulmate and you... me and you, we're..." I slowly stopped talking and glanced at my hands in my lap.
"Soulmates? Me. And you. We're soulmates." Rocket started to laugh.
I am so happy that my hood is up right now. He isn't able to see my expression to that reaction. "T-that's insane! Why would I be your soulmate?! Did Quill put you up to this, or Gamora?!" Rocket laughed more, I started to get angry slowly and crossed my arms over my chest. "You know what? Forget it, forget I even said anything. I knew I shouldn't have told you." I said and got up to walk away.
"Wait, wait. I didn't mean it like that." Rocket said calming down.
I sit back down crossing my arms over my chest and stare out to space. I wish father had told me about the soulmate thing... Maybe I would actually know what to do, I rolled my eyes a little. I glanced at Rocket and I could tell he wanted to say something but had no idea how, so I was going to try and talk to him. I opened my mouth but before anything could come out he cut me off; "Planet inbound, guys!" He yelled out to call the others up.
