=PJ's POV=

The rest of the day went by and all anyone could talk about was the new kid Masen.

And it fucking irked the hell out of me.

I don't know what it is about this dude, but I do not like him.

And I can't put my finger on it, but...He just gave off a vibe that didn't sit well with me... and has me on some sort of alert whenever he's around.

Don't get me wrong at first he seemed like a decent enough guy, felt bad for the new kid coming in at the end of the freaking school year.

But then he'd turned around and talked to Sara as if he knew her so damn well, he smiled at her, her own goofy ass grin mirroring his like they had some shared secret.

they switched spots and when the teacher called him out his reply was so smooth that it came off as cocky, like who the hell does this guy think he is?

I don't know...Maybe it's the way he flashes his money around with his expensive shoes and designer brand clothes. Even the way he just sat in class today...so fucking arrogant, like a bored know it all, as if he's so fucking smart and better than all of us.

And throughout the rest of the day despite not wanting to have anything to do with that asshole and praying I didn't have to run into him or worse, have another class with him... Every time I heard his name I had to clenched my fists and breath because the thought of him made me angry and I would begin to shake...and unfortunately for me that's all anyone in the damn school was talking about...Masen, the new kid.

"Maybe you need to eat." Brandon offered as I'd begun to shake upon hearing a group of sophomores bring up Masen.

"Yeah, maybe you need to stabilize you blood sugar levels." Chase chimed in, "My Nana shakes sometimes when her sugar levels are running low."

I shook my head at them, for once the seemed to be being serious, but I wasn't in the mood to really be around anyone in general. So I got up and got a tray of lunch regardless...if only to be away from the table momentarily.

The rest of them stayed seated and began eating. I met up with Sean in line and together we got our food and talked about our plans for the weekend.

"Nothing really." I said unsure, maybe go out to Port A if I'm up to it...more than likely stay at home though...game some."

He nodded, we paid for our lunch and made it back to the table, "So has anyone met the new guy yet?" Sean asked as he took a bite of his burger.

I rolled my eyes and resisted the urge to just get back up and walk away from the conversation.

"Yeah, his name's Masen" Sara spoke up, the smallest shade of pink rose up on her cheeks "...PJ and I have him for first." she quickly added.

"I heard his father is the new town historian, but he's really into politics." Sean filled us in.

"Well I heard that his parents are royalty from South America." Chase said with a stupid grin.

I rolled my eyes and pushed my tray away from me.

I was so tired of hearing about this guy, as much as I want to sit and enjoy lunch with my friend I just couldn't stand hearing about this Kid any longer so I got up and left. I found myself on the football field and decided I should get some extra practice in.

I threw the ball around with a couple teammates but that's about the extent of practice I got in since everyone seemed to have shit to do today.

As school ended I found myself extremely happy to be going home finally. At least there I wouldn't have to hear about Masen. But as I kickstarted my motorcycle I still couldn't shake the frustrated feeling, and to make matters worse, I think I'm getting sick.

I rode home feeling tired, hot, and a little pissed off, I put my key into the door only to realize it was already unlocked. I sighed slightly frustrate from the day I had at school. I smelled my mother cooking and I also heard her talking and then she screamed.

The scream was unexpected and startled me, but then I got pissed that I had gotten scared. more than that though, I knew that scream, she was excited about something. "Geez Mom, tone it down." I snapped as I walked into the kitchen.

"Oh PJ quit being rude, and tell your Aunt hello." She fussed, trying to get me to acknowledge my Aunt Leah.

"Hey." I offered boredly before I grabbed a leftover doughnut from breakfast.

She shook her head and sighed, "PJ that thing's old, have a banana instead." My mother tried to offer me.

I took a huge bite of the doughnut "tastes fine to me." I said with my mouth full and a fake grin.

She rolled her eyes as I walked out of the kitchen and made my way up the stairs.

"My lovely son ladies and gentlemen." She teased, and Aunt Leah giggled.

I rolled my eyes doing my best to just ignore her...I had to resist the urge to tell her off...my own mom, honestly I don't know what the hell was going on with me today but the smallest things were pissing me off to the max, so I figured I would just try and zone out by playing some games.

I logged on but no one I knew was on yet.

I joined some random party and began playing.

Big. Fucking. Mistake.

"Just shoot him!" I yelled to the stranger on my team. "Don't fucking hide, shoot him! Shoot him!"

As my random teammate lost our game for us I got so angry that I tore off my earpiece and threw my controller at the X-Box, but it wasn't enough.

I wanted to break something, and seeing as my game system was now almost on the floor I picked it up and punched the damn thing until it broke into a couple of pieces and crumbled onto the floor. Now upset that I didn't have a game system anymore I took my aggression out on my television, I pushed it harshly onto the floor as well as its tall entertainment system which fell with a loud bang as it crashed against the floor.

Seconds passed before my mother threw my bedroom door open. Her small action sent me over the edge, and just like so many times today I began to shake.

My body felt hot and it was almost like I was vibrating with agitation.

"PJ honey, calm down." My mother said cooly, but clear worry was etched onto her face.

"I HATE IT WHEN YOU JUST BARGE INTO MY ROOM!" I yelled angrily.

She looked around my room, "PAUL!" She yelled for my fathers assistance.

I fell to my knees as something inside of me lurched.

"They're back." My dad said as he ran into my room, I could hear the worry in his voice.

The room was silent as they took in his words, but I was on fire, my skin was literally burning to the touch and waves of steam seemed to be coming off of me. I closed my eyes and yelled, but instead of my scream out came a very distinctive howl.

Then my Dad spoke again.

"The Cullens are back."
