=PJ's POV=

I ran to my uncle Jacob's house, I just don't want to be around my parents and see that "I told you so" look on their faces.

I couldn't believe coach was gonna sit me out, I'm the one who got our team there in the first place, and how messed up is it that Brandon agreed to play for me.

I was beginning to feel angry again.

"Hey I have to help out at the shop but you're more than welcome to stay here if you want, Sara should be here in a couple of hours anyways." My uncle said.

As he left I made myself more comfortable on the couch and began flipping through the channels.

A few hours passed and I was beginning to wonder where my cousin was, then I remembered I had offered her a ride. I suddenly felt awful, I hope she isn't waiting for me. I pulled out my cell and began sending her a message when suddenly the front door burst open.

"Hey I was just fixing to text you." I admitted with a little humor in my voice.

"That's cool, where's my dad?" She asked a little rushed.

"He left for the shop a while ago." I filled her in then I saw the last person I wanted to see.

Masen Cullen.

I wanted to punch his pretty boy face, it was him and his family that turned me into some furry freak, it was their fault I had to miss school and would now miss tonight's game.

"What the hell's he doing here?!" I shouted.

"Excuse me?" Sarah asked. "Not that it's any if your business but I invited him over here."

"You shouldn't be around him, I don't want you around him."

"I don't care what you want PJ, you're not my father! Plus he's my guest, so if you don't like who I invite into MY house YOU can leave!" Sara yelled, she had become angry and even though there was a significant distance between us I could see that she was beginning to shake.

Masen walked up to her and placed one of his hands on her shoulder "Sara, calm down."

His words seemed to pause the shaking but it only made me mad and I knew I was about to shift.

"Don't touch her!" I growled.

Masen didn't remove his hand fast enough for my liking and I lost control. My wolf leaped out, now I stood on all fours in my uncles living room with my little cousin and a vampire.

I let another growl rip from my chest when Masen nudged Sara behind him, placing his body in front of her like a shield, as if I would ever hurt her. It's him who she should be protected from.

Then I watched as her knees buckled and she began to fall. Masen moved quick and caught her before her body made contact with the ground.

He gently scooped her small frame into his arms and walked closer to me, he placed her on the sofa and then sat next to her. I growled.

"I'm not leaving her." He said

*PJ growls*

"Your appearance frightened her don't you think you should concentrate on shifting back into your human form instead of me being here." He added.

I knew he was right but I just couldn't leave her, for all I know he could drink her blood and kill her.

He must've understood my worries.

He sighed. "I wouldn't bring her harm any more than you would...She means more to me than you can fathom."

What is this kid talking about? I hesitated then walked out of the house, I shifted back into my human form then ran back into the house and up the stairs, I borrowed a pair of my uncles sweatpants and a plain black t-shirt then headed back downstairs as quick as I could.

He tossed me my cellphone, fortunately it had been on the sofa when I shifted.

"You should call her parents."

"No shit Sherlock." I replied, it was childish of me but I didn't care.

I dialed the shop and uncle Jacob picked up.

"Uh, well there was an issue at your house." I said.

"Is my house fine?" He asked.

"Yeah the house is fine, but you remember that thing you told me not to do?"

"I'm drawing a blank PJ, I'm kinda busy kid just spit it out." He said.

"I-accidentally-shifted-in-front-of-Sara." I blurted out.

"YOU DID WHAT?!" He yelled.

"In my defense, the Cullen kid was with her and I felt like he was a threat." I added.

"No excuses! Put Sara on the line."

"Well she kinda went full on girl and...well, she fainted when I shifted." I confessed.

"ALL OF YOU STAY THERE, I'M ON MY WAY!"

The line went dead and I knew it was about to get bad. I sat on the love seat and waited for the shit to hit the fan.

It took a little longer than I had expected but Uncle Jacob had finally arrived, and he wasn't alone.

Masen stood up as everyone entered, my uncle and two teens I've never seen before. Somehow they all favored each other and I figured they must've been Masen's siblings. But before I could form another thought my nose began to burn.

I brought my hand up to my nose as if someone had just punched me. "Ahh, what the hell?!"

"You get use to it." Uncle Jacob said flatly.

"She's fine Jake." The guy said with an arrogant smirk. "She's actually pretending now."

"Sara open your eyes." Uncle Jacob said.

Sarah did as she was told and sat up slowly. My uncle hugged her to him.

"You had me worried baby."

"I'm fine poppa." She said more than a little embarrassed.

My uncle released her and then her eyes went wide as she spotted the two newcomers.

"How...but your picture...impossible." Sara mumbled.

"Do you want to fill your daughter in or should we?" The guy spoke up again.

"I got it." Uncle Jacob said. "You should probably fill your son in...We'll have a meeting tonight at the old treaty line."

"Come on son." The brunette beauty said. "It was good seeing you again Jake, I hope not too much has changed."

"You too Bells, and it's hard to say right now."

And just like that they left.

"Were those his parents?" I asked amused and slightly shocked. My uncle nodded yes, I was just in the same room as actual vampires!
