=PJ's POV=
There I stood in my bedroom on all fours, with fur the color of platinum.
I didn't know what was going on, all I wanted to do was run away from whatever was happening or at the very least scream to let out some of this odd frustration. So I decided to do both.
As I opened my mouth and screamed a very loud and distinct howl erupted from my chest, the sound made me jump and run. Within seconds I was out the back door and running through the sloshy damp forest.
As I ran I calmed down, and as I calmed down I forgot that it was on four legs instead of just two.
Then I suddenly realized that something very large was following me.
Not one to cower in fear I stopped dead in my tracks to face whatever seemed to be chasing me only to come face to face with a greyish wolf. Although the wolf seemed bigger than an average wolf there was something about it that read as small.
I was about to take off in a run again to escape from the monster when suddenly a voice entered my head.
{{ voice: PJ, you need to go back home. }}
I shook my head trying to free myself from the familiar female voice I heard.
{{ voice: Go home PJ. }}
Without even thinking I took off back in the direction of my house, when I got there both of my parents were standing outside.
I noticed my mothers arms were full of clothes but other than that they seemed to be acting normal, like I didn't have platinum fur covering my entire body.
Then I noticed the grayish wolf once more and this time I felt threatened and let out a growl...what if this wolf was going to hurt my parents.
{{ voice: PJ, you need to relax if you want to shift back. Calm down and everything will be fine. }}
I looked all around for the voice I kept hearing.
{{ voice: Just close your eyes and think of the most relaxing thing you can think of. }}
I closed my eyes and remembered one time when my Mother had taken me to her old hometown In California. I was 9 and she and my Dad took me to the beach. Everything about that day was perfect, but it was the sound of the waves mixed with the warm air on the bright sunny day that was soothing.
We had our beach here in La Push...but nothing like that beach and I smiled.
I felt a slight vibration once more but this time I chose to ignore it while I remembered more of the day.
I could practically feel the hot sun on my face and I began relishing the memory a cool damp wind touched my face and I shivered as I opened my eyes. It had begun to drizzle and I realized I was standing on two feet again, butt ass naked.
"What the hell is going on?!"
My Dad stepped forward and handed me a pair of my sweatpants "Son, your a Quileute shifter, and just like your mother and I you shifted into a wolf."
His words didn't make any sense. What the hell is a shifter anyways?
As soon as the though processed in my head I turned to see the greyish wolf transform into my Aunt Leah.
I began to panic and felt a little sick.
"Baby, we have a lot to talk to you about." My moms soft voice sounded behind me.

=Sara's POV=
"Hello sweetie, how was your day?" My mother asked as she chopped some vegetables and placed them into a large ceramic bowl.
"It was good, are we having company?" I asked.
"Your aunt and uncle are coming over." She said, "your aunt insists she has big gossip to tell me."
"Must be about the new family."
"What new family?" My mother questioned as she pushed the freshly washed carrots and a peeler toward me.
I began peeling as I told her about the new guy.
"Well I don't know much, only that their was a rumor that a few moving trucks were spotted at the old mansion just out of town, then it was confirmed that a family had indeed moved in because their son came to school today."
"Hmm," she said. I could tell she was trying to play coy but the suspense of these new people was killing her. "Well tell me about this boy."
I looked down at the carrots I was peeling to avoid catching her eye as well as attempting to hide the involuntary smile that spread across my face at the thought of Masen.
"Well," I started "his name is Masen."
"Masen?" She asked a little lost in thought, her brows pulling together.
"He's tall and very polite. He has this great brown hair that has natural coppery highlights that peek through. He's kinda pale though."
My mom dropped the large knife onto the floor, she jumped back before it hit her foot.
"Mom are you alright?" I asked in a panic.
"What color are his eyes? What's his last name?"
I gave her a curious look but answered her. "His eyes are the most vivid green I've ever seen and I think I heard some kids saying his last name was Collins, I don't know mom I could be wrong."
"Green eyes?" She asked again.
"Yes, amazingly green too." I said, this time I couldn't hide my smile.
She seemed to be her normal self once more, she picked up the knife, washed it, Then proceeded with the rest of the dinner salad.
A couple of hours later I could smell the steaks being grilled by my dad and knew we would be eating outside as long as the weather held up. I went downstairs to help set the table and happily greeted my Aunt Jessica and Uncle Mike as they arrived.
We all sat down to eat and my aunt began to talk about the new family of course.
She told my Mother pretty much the same thing.
"I wondered if it was the the old doctor and his family but so far no one has seen any of the family members." Aunt Jessica said a little put off.
"I have." I announced.
"You have?" My dad asked. "When was this?"
"Today...I met the son of the family today at school."
"Well who is he? Who's his family?" Aunt Jessica questioned me.
"Uh, all I know is his name is Masen, he's a nice guy though, kinda quiet but really friendly if you make the attempt to talk with him."
"And you made the attempt then?" My dad asked a little mad.
"Poppa, it's not like that, he just asked if I wanted to trade seats since his seat was right in front of me and he's super tall so he was kinda blockin the board." I said a little embarrassed at being put on the spot.
"Well that was kind of him." My mom encouraged.
"Sounds like the kid was putting down the moves on you." My uncle Mike put in.
"No he wasn't," I said to my uncle then turned to my dad again. "He wasn't...Plus PJ was there, he can tell you it was completely innocent."
The weather was turning bad quickly so the conversation was dropped as we moved our dinner inside. It took us three trips to bring everything in, on the third trip my dad got a call and left in a rush.
"Everything ok?" Uncle Mike asked my mom.
"I'm sure everything's fine, probably just something at the shop." My mom offered. "Speaking of the shop... shouldn't you be getting ready for work?"
I groaned internally.
"Hey, it was your idea to keep the shop open later now scoot." My mom added as she saw my growing protest to go into work.
My Uncle offered me a ride since it was raining now, and I gladly accepted it.
