Just Another Dream

Jake somewhat regained conciousness he lightly squeezed Dirk's hand, his heart rate slowed to a sleeping level on the monitor.

Dirk gasped feeling the squeeze of Jake's hand, keeping his watery eyes locked on Jake as he wimpered again, thinking it was just his imagination "I promise to stay by your side no matter what .. I promise to never let you go and I know you, Jake English, can not die easily.." Dirk entertwined his fingers with Jake's warm limp ones "I miss you Jake.. I can't help but think about you everday since you've been gone.. and now that this has happend I-.. I just don't know what to do.. I'm sorry for ever doing those things I've done.. I'm sorry for all of my mistakes.. I love you and I'm going to stay here even if it takes may life, I will stay here by your side, no matter what.." Dirk scooted closer to him.

Jake mumbled and turned his head "tell some to turn out that bloody light and come here Strider.." Jake weakly mumbled and closed his eyes tight. Trying to block the bright hospital lights with his right arm but couldn't move it because of all the IVs and such.

Dirk's jaw dropped, he stood up and turned out the lights, closing the door "J-jake is this really you talking o-or am I imagining things? Is this an illusion? Am I going insane...?" Dirk kneeled next to Jake again holding his hand once more, his eyes on Jake's face again

"Yeah dirk... it's really me.." Jake tugged on his hand for Dirk to at least sit by him. "I heard everything by the way..."

Dirk sat by Jake, leaning down to lay his head on Jakes chest, hearing the beat of his heart going at a normal pace "I thought I lost you.." Dirk sniffed and blinked as a tear fell from one of his eyes

"Dirk its time to wake up now....."
