Emma's pov
The act in front of me on the list, went on stage. My heart is pounding out of my chest. I feel so sick but I am going to do this. All the other kids said the brights blind you from the crowd but you know. Nothing wrong with being nervous.
"The next preformer is one of our schools bet students. She's determined, she's loyal to her teammates, and happens to have a famous brother. Give it up for Emma!"
I walked on stage and there were some claps. I was frankly suprised. I stood where I was supposed to. I looked at my feet. I took a breathe and looked up seeing nothing but light which helped.
I imagined I was in my room alone and no one was there. I still felt eyes on me which was hard to avoid.
I heard the music of the guitar. My heart was pounding I think you could hear it beating through the microphone. I put my hand on it and looked at the back wall. I swallowed my dry throat before I started to sing.
At first I though no sound would come out if opened my mouth but again to my suprise sound did come out.
I sang with my eyes closed most of the time. At the end of the middle chorus people were shining there flash lights in the air. They were waving and that's the only thing I could see. I heard people sing along with m and I knew how Shawn felt and his passion for doing this almost everyday.
"A little to muuccchh... Yeahhh..." I tried pulling off the Shawn note but I don't think I did it. To my suprise a bunch of people clapped.
"Wait Emma before you get off the stage we have a suprised for you!" Mrs. Lockwood said making me turn to her like nothing else was happening. I was kinda confused.
Then I heard a voice I've been missing for a long time.
"Turn around...."
Jacks pov
"Turn around..."
Me, Shawn, Sam, and gilinsky walked on stage and we all had our flowers in our hands. The crowd went dead silent. Some girls started screaming.
Emma froze in place and turned towards my direction slowly. She had tears starting to form.
"Jack!" She said. She ran towards me and hugged me really tight. She ran so fast when I caught the hug I almost fell over.
Me started crying more on my shoulder and all I could do was hold her tighter. The crowd started cheering and screaming for Shawn more than likely. Emma let go of me and wiped her eyes and looked at me.
I handed her the flower making her smile and laugh. She looked over my shoulder and saw Shawn. Her eyes got big.
Emma's pov
I got the flower from jack and I noticed the usual crew behind him. I though that he had Nate with him. I guess not because when I looked over his shoulder it was Shawn.
My eyes got big, nots formed in my stomach, and once again I froze. He walked over to me and gave me the flower. He gave me a hug!
Shawn fricken Mendes is hugging me!!!!
My face was in his chest and I probably hugged him so tight he couldn't breathe.
Emma, he's just a person, just like you. I reminded myself to stay calm. I pulled away and he kissed my cheek making me blush.
I saw gilinsky and for sure I missed this goof! I walked fast up to him giving him a hug.
"Missed you baby girl!" He said.
"Missed you too gally!" I said back to him.
I saw Sam, hugged him, and I retreated the flowers from them both too. They all looked so handsome.
He asked Mrs. Lockwood for a picture and we got one I was the shortest one, then there is jack.
We got off the stage and left out the back door.
We were by our cars. "Aye I'm starving does
mcDonald's sound good?" I asked making Johnson laugh.
"You're always hungry!" He said laughing. I laughed too."trueeee!" I said making everyone else laugh.
"I'm serious though like McDs?" I said. They nodded their head yes. "Alright let's bounce this joint!" I said making them laugh. They got in jacks car and I got in mine to meet them there.
