Chapter 2 : Witch's daughter

"Yui, you look like you haven't slept at all" Akia said, patting the girl's head.
"It's because I tried to study to my test but the brothers bothered me" She yawned loudly.
"Oh, is that so? So why don't you come to my place today and study?" Akia asked.
"Come to... your place?" Asked Yui and bit her lower lip. "I don't think I can, sorry" She apologized and bowed. "Why?" Asked Akia. "Well I don't free today I have many tasks to do..." Yui started to murmured. Akia suddenly noticed Reiji. She swallowed before saying "Reiji, can Yui come to my place today?". Yui was shocked to respond. Reiji glared at Yui before saying "I am afraid she can't.".
"Why not?" Akia whispered sadly.
Reiji ignored her question and walked away. "I-I'm sorry" Said Yui, all stressed out. "You should stop apologizing already" Akia sigh and smiled.


'His not here again...' Akia thought as she looked at the empty sit next to her. She looked out and watched as the rain drops hit the clear glass. She touched the mark he left yesterday, remembering that feeling. His smell, his breath, his voice, his eyes were like a poison.
She smiled to herself, remembering his touch.

While walking to her locker, Akia noticed Yui and Reiji were talking. She stopped and hide behind the wall, listening to the two. "I forbid you to stop talking with that girl" He said with his usual cold voice. "But why?" Yui was afraid. "Because I told you so. Now go get Shu and we are leaving."
Yui nodded lightly and walked away, all despaired.
"And look what we got here" Suddenly a strong grip was holding Akia's hands.
"L-Let go!" She shouted but he covered her mouth.
"You were listening, weren't you? Those are really bad manners." He said before putting her hair away and bit into her neck. Her skin was burning and his grip was so tight it would definitely leave some marks. "Your blood is not that bad" He whispered. "Just like your sister"
"Get off!" She pushed him away, his teeth cut her skin and left a deep cut.
"Idiot woman! You will bleed to death!" He yelled at her.
"I prefer dying from blood lose then lose it by you sucking it!" She shouted at him.
He glared at her and stepped towards her.
"R-Reiji" a voice called from behind.
Yui and Shu were standing, looking at the scene. Akia was holding her neck but it didn't help from making a little blood puddle under her.
"W-We need t-to help her" Said Yui, watching her friend suffering.
"She will be fine, let's go" Said Reiji and walked away. Yui wanted to say something but preferred not to talk. Shu just glance at her and without saying anything just walked after the two.
'This isn't good' Akia thought as she stood up and tried to walk.
'I can't walk anymore...' She said to herself before falling onto the ground. Her neck was still bleeding and the rain washed it all. She was soaked wet and cold. 'I'm hopeless' she thought as everything became black.

Akia woke up because something licked her face. "S-stop" she whispered but It kept licking her face. She opened one eye to meet her dog – Mato. It was a small Pug dog.
"Oi, get off me you little brat" Akia sighed as she pushed him off her face. 'What happened? How did get in here...?' Akia thought as she touched gently her neck. It was covered with bandage.
Her head was still dizzy but she felt pretty much fine, so she got up and took Mato to a walk.

'Why is it always raining in here? It's only October.' Akia thought as she leaned against the cold window. "Akia, would you like to read us this poem please?" The teacher asked.
'Fuck'. Luckily, Akia was really good at English, so it shouldn't be so hard.


The days are a death-wish

A witch-hunt for an exit

I am powerless...

The fragile, the broken

Sit in circles and stay unspoken

We are powerless...

Because we all walk alone on an empty staircase
