Part 13: Mr. Jelous vs. Ms. Playful?

“Thank you so much Sam and Anne. We appreciate the time that you gave us for this VTR.” Ms. Garlic said to both Sam and Anne.

They just finished recording their VTR/Greetings for Sarah’s Team for the upcoming premiere of The Voice Philippines.

“Wala po yun. It’s our pleasure to do this.” Sam smiled towards the crew as they say their goodbyes to them.

“Pano Sam? I’ll go ahead, I still have a commitment to attend to.” Anne said towards Sam.

“Alright. Take care.”

“Aren’t you leaving yet?”

“Not yet. I think I’ll stay for a while.” He smiled towards her. After their split-up years ago, they have remained good friends.

“Hmn. I think I know why.” Anne smiled knowingly.

“Huh? What do you mean?”

“Hay naku, Mr. Sam Milby. I can clearly read through you. I know you have a special someone to visit in her dressing room.” She teased. It is not a secret to her that he has special feelings for one of her sisters in the industry.

Sam couldn’t say anything after hearing what Anne said.

“Am I that obvious?” He shyly asked her.

“Yes, you are too obvious. But one advise friend, better step up your game. You know how many gorgeous hunks are eyeing the Princess. She’s about to turn 25 you know.” She winked at him and then walked away after saying her goodbyes.

Sam sighed. His insecurities are rising up again. He can’t help but feel insecure over the other “admirers” of his Princess. But he’s holding on to what she said – “that she just needs more time.” Besides, isn’t he the one that she said yes to or simply allowed him to court her? Not just that open yet, but he’ll get there, hopefully.

He took a deep breath and walk towards her dressing room. As he goes near the room, he can hear laughter and bantering inside. When he peeked, he saw that his Princess is with her co-mentors, having animated talk about the upcoming show.

Everyone has been busy for the premier. The entire staff and crew are running back and forth for the VTRs that they have yet to tape for the premier episode.

Lea, upon seeing someone peeking from the door, exclaimed: “Ehem. I think we have to go guys. Mayroon atang dumadalaw sa isang prinsesa dito.” Then she laughs as she ushered everyone out of the room. Before she goes out of the room, she playfully winked at Sarah, who in turn blushed. Sam shyly thanked Lea and the other coaches as they step out of the room.
