Epilogue

Alexandria, USA
Duke St. Brownstone: Dining Area
Setting seems like a war-room, scattered Maps with annotations, diagrams, a flip-board and several hard cover tomes.

Temi slings on backpack and then whirls a giggling Morgan through the air.

TEMI
[Laughs] I have to go Merlin, I've already stayed too long as it is.

MORGAN
[pouts] But Spider!...

Denise Cho breezes in and crouches down beside Morgan, puts a finger over the child's lip.

DENISE
Spider has a lot of training to do. Remember that I said it takes a lot of practice to dance pretty?

A glum-faced Morgan nods slowly. The Spider Magus, smiles encouragingly and then snaps her fingers. An illusory butterfly springs into existence and flies round Morgan's head and then into the living room. The child claps her hands excitedly and chases after it.
Denise gives a tired sort of smile and moves as if to follow after Morgan.

TEMI
Uhmm... There's another thing. I will be going over to London this weekend, a quick in-and-out. The Royal ballet...

DENISE
By all means, but be careful, the Veil is growing weaker.

TEMI
[Nods] Ok. Have to go now!

The Spider Magus starts to blur at the edges.

DENISE
And Temi... You're not that good yet. Half a truth still counts as a lie.
Don't get into any trouble.

Temi smiles sweetly and fades away.

Denise watches as Temi dream-shifts away. CAMERA HOLD POSITION as she walks away brushing hair behind ear absently

DENISE
[echoing sound of a mental sending] Carlos, There's something I need you to do this weekend.

Accra, Ghana
Location withheld
It's Evening. A fan thrums softly as it rotates in a small bedroom with a single bed.
HOVER CAMERA TO SCAN SETTINGS - very Spartan, bed laid immaculately.
ROTATE CAMERA TO WINDOWS TO VIEW...
The Dream Mother, Yaa Asantewaa Boateng, stands on a short wooden stool in front of panel of frosted glass louvers. Yaa is dressed in pale cotton pajamas and her feet are bare.
FLOAT IN GRADUALLY TO OBSERVE...
The Fae's face set grimly as she peers at the mosquito netting behind the louver blades. Finally, on her tiptoes, she pokes at a section of the net and it opens - a tear.

YAA
[Sigh]
[Murmurs to herself] So that's how the mosquitoes were getting in.
[Carefully steps down]

[Out loud] No, I was not able to find out anything about her location Henry.

ROTATE CAMERA TO VIEW NEW ARRIVALS - Henry Gaines and Olaf.

YAA
I spoke to him for as long as I could. He will be a useful asset, his brain works in a marvellous way... but he does not have the information you needed.

HENRY
I wished he at least had a clue.

YAA
[sighs and squats to sit on stool] I do have a clue, but I don't think you will want to hear it.

HENRY
I do...

OLAF
Henry, Mother says...

HENRY
[More firmly] I need to know.

YAA
[Stands up] You may want to sit down for this.

The Fae gently pushes Henry to sit on her bed.

YAA
The boy had a picture, an image from her mind. It was
...
Longinus. The Left Hand may have been involved Henry.

HENRY
[gasps] No... I can't. I can't loose another one of them...

Henry grasps both of Yaa's hands, anguish writ on his face.

HENRY
Janus, Elena... and now my Tiny? I... I can't.

YAA
[ gesture towards Olaf]

The giant man 'shifts away.

YAA
[Shushing]
Your loss is my loss Son.
It is just the two of us here. Your tears need room to flow.

Henry Gaines breaks down and sobs into the child Fae's shoulder. She strokes his hair gently and continues to shush him.

SLOWLY DARKEN AND FADE OUT TO SAD MUSIC...
