Jo

I still can’t believe that Meg and I like the same guy! Of all the guys out there we have to like the same person? It never happened before. Though it was going to be interesting. Meg and I never gave up when we wanted something. Or in this case, someone. I knew something was up when I saw Blake’s car left our drive way. And my suspicion was right when Meg said that she was going after Blake.

I continued to do a waterfall braid on my hair, thinking about my next move regarding Blake. When I was done, I took a look at the full length mirror, assessing my own outfit. I was wearing a white top and a pair of floral pattern skinny jeans. And to complete it, I took my pastel color blazer that I’ve laid neatly on the bed. Satisfied with it, I grabbed my Chloe bag and iPhone from my bed and walked downstairs.

There was no one on the kitchen, well except for Consuela. And she already made me my PB&J sandwich (you’re never too old to eat PB&J sandwich!). God bless that woman. Even though she rarely talked to us, she always took care of us. I put my bag on the kitchen island and walked to the fridge to grab the orange juice. But when I turned around, ready to pour the OJ and eat my sandwich, it was no longer there. Instead, Chuck was standing there, munching on my favorite sandwich.

“Oh this is delicious. Thanks baby sis, gotta go now.” He smirked at me, knowing very well that he got under my skin.

“Ugh Chuck you son of our mother!” I yelled at his retrieving figure, already made his way to his car outside. I couldn’t really say the phrase son of a bitch considering that he’s my brother. If I said so that’d made me the daughter of a bitch, meaning my mom was one. So yeah, I changed it to son of our mother instead.

Already losing my appetite, I grabbed my bag and went outside to wait for Becky. Since my car was still broke down, considering Chuck had refused to fix it and the mechanic wouldn’t be able to fix it until next week, Becky was my ride for the time being. She was my only option since I didn’t want to be in the same car with Chuck and his girlfriend of the day.

To say that I was surprised when I saw Blake’s car on our driveway was an understatement of the day. Changing my facial expression, I walked up to him as he leaned against his car. When he saw me walking towards him, a smile appeared on his face.

“Morning Jo.” He greeted me, putting his black iPhone back inside his jeans pocket. He was wearing a grey shirt and a pair of washed out jeans. Simple yet they looked good on him.

“Morning.” I grinned at him. But before I could say anything any further, my dearest twin sister (note the sarcasm) appeared and cut me off instantly.

“Hey Blake, ready to go?” She asked as she linked her arm around his.

What the…? I looked at her arm then up to her face. She had this smirk that said ‘I’m so gonna win this

“Sure.” Blake nodded at Meg then turned his head to me again. “You want to come with us?”

Again, my idiot of a twin sister cut me off before I could even open my mouth.

“Nah, her friend will be here soon. You don’t want to ditch Becky, do you Jo?” She asked with a smile on her face. But I knew better, she clearly didn’t want me to tag along with them.

Oh it’s so on sister! I thought to myself. “She’s right. She’ll be here any minute. Bonne journée.” I waved as they both got into the car.

Blake, being the nice guy he was, waved back at me before he drove off. While my sister, a satisfied smirk was planted on her face. I wouldn’t give up that easy though. I already had a plan to get back at her.
