ERIN
Jayden and I were heading back to the pack house. He was sulking in his wolf form. I had won any rounds we had played of Grand Turismo, and to his dismay, I had a victory dance. We were now rushing back to the pack house, I was still yipping in celebration.
Our surroundings grew familiar as we neared our destination. We ran through the breaks in the trees, erupting onto the top of the mountain. We shifted and Jayden knowingly went behind a large tree, digging out a pair of clothes.
He tossed me a very over sized shirt. I shrugged it over my shoulders. It fell down to about my knees. I looked past the veil of my hands. Jayden had pulled on a pair of basketball pants. He gestured with his head, and began walking towards the large cabin.
I followed him into the cabin. People of Jayden's pack milled around, some carrying food, whilst others carried baskets of clothes. I smiled at the sight of the tight knit community.
I felt Jayden's large hand grasp mine. He lead me upstairs to the bedroom area I presumed. We followed quickly down the hallway. We reached the end of the hallway. We passed rows and rows of doors, until we stood in front of a pair of large wooden doors. Alpha was engraved in a gold nameplate above them.
Jayden pushed them open revealing a large bedroom. A large, king sized bed stood in the middle of the room, pressed back against the back wall. It had four wooden posts, holding grey curtains that obscured three 'walls' of the bed. A white desk was placed against the right hand side, and the other side had two doors.
Jayden pointed to one of the doors, stark white against they dark blue walls, "that's the bathroom. The other door is the closet."
I looked around before gleefully running to the soft looking bed. I bounded up and landed on top of it. I lay down flat on my back, the bed still slightly moving from my energetic attack. I felt the bed dip as Jayden joined me on top of it. He smoothly pulled me underneath him, hovering over me on his arms.
"Are you ticklish?" Jayden nodded slightly, the colour draining from his face. I reached up and tickled his sides. He began wheezing in laughter.
"You...have..to stop...I'll fall....on....you!" He choked out between laughs. I continued by relentless attacks. He went to grab my hand and realized his mistake. My mouth made an 'O' shape as he fell on me. My breath was squeezed out of me all at once, crushing my lungs.
I started grappling with his arms, making gasping noises. I'm sure I resembled a fish out of water. Jayden rolled to the side, our laughter subsiding.
"I still don't know anything about you."
"Well what would you like to know?" He asked in a polite tone.
"Just the basics, favorite colour, age. I don't know."
"Well, my favorite colour is blue, I'm twenty-one, I became the Alpha of this pack after-never mind that. I'm an only child and Jeremiah has been my best friend since I was like, five. Your turn."
"Okay, um, my favorite colour is pastel green, I'm eighteen, I hate my parents and I am confused about this Inebriare thing." The whole situation had been niggling at the back of my mind.
"Well, it's a Shifter's version of a mating call basically. For example gorillas beat their chests, it's what attracts males to you. It's also very hard for me to stay away from you, but..." He grumbled the last part but still flashed me a large beaming smile.
I cast my eyes downwards staring at the blankets covering the bed.
"And I can't stop it?"
"Only once you've mated, or as you'd know it have...Sex." His face flushed bright crimson and I laughed at his embarrassment.
"Again, how old are you?"
"21."
"Well you must be just like me then!" I exclaimed.
"What?"
"You're a five year old trapped in a twenty-one year old's body." I laughed at my own joke. He nodded in agreement and laughed along with me.
"Hey, look I love hanging out but I have work I need to get done. I'll come fetch you for dinner. Okay?" He asked gently. I nodded slightly, already planning what to do in my head. Jayden nodded contently and pushed himself off the bed, walking back along the long hallway.
As soon as his footsteps faded away I walked into the hall and walked towards one of the rooms I had seen a girl entering earlier. I rapped on the door quietly. I jumped back when a small girl with short blonde hair opened the door. She looked at me innocently.
"Um. Hi. I was wondering if I could borrow some clothes. Oh! I'm Erin, by the way."
"Oh yes of course! I've heard of you. You're the Female Alpha." She stepped back and welcomed me into her room. We were roughly the same height, though she looked young.
"How old are you?"
"17, actually, it's my pudgy face. My name's Emma, also." She explained, squishing up her face. She turned around in a blur, causing me to stumble back, she giggled and thrust a knit sweater and jeans at me. I thanked her and walked back to Jayden's room.
Slipping on the clothes I wondered what I was going to do next. I felt like exploring, but I didn't want to get lost again. Going against my better instincts I slipped back out of the room yet again.
I wandered through a few halls, my feet silent against the wooded floors.
The scent of spaghetti wafted up my nostrils. I sighed. I followed the scent until I was met with a large door, a gold plaque hung above that said kitchen.
Pushing through the door and leaving my manners behind I stepped into the large, busy kitchen. Most of the motion stopped when I stepped inside, letting the door bang heavily behind me.
An old lady with a sagging face and greying hair stepped up intimidatingly towards me.
"Who are you?"
