It's going to be a long night. I can tell.

At the beginning, Klara sat with me up at the bar. She stayed with me for about fifteen minutes up until a guy caught her eye and eventually left me alone to go and dance with him. I had no clue where Gabe was. He hasn't been anywhere in my sight.

I stuck to only drinking Sprite. Klara drove the both of us here, but with how much she likes to drink and have a fun time, I already knew I was going to be the designated driver tonight. For my drunk sister.

Eventually, Klara came back around to the bar where I sat down. She took the empty spot next to me, the seat where she was sitting earlier before leaving me alone. After she sat down, she adjusted the bottom of her dress as it probably started to ride up on her. Just watching her started to give me a little bit of anxiety as I started to think about if my dress was slowly going up.

"Come on, you're missing out!" my sister said to me. "Come dance with me. Have some fun, it's New Years Eve."

I'm not going to lie, I do like to have fun. But I'm so used to college parties that I feel so uncomfortable here in a club instead of either in a dorm or even an apartment located off campus. Wearing casual clothes; a pair of jeans paired up with a tank top or a plain shirt, is what I'm used to. Wearing a bodycon dress that has to be way too short to me didn't feel normal for me. I'm just glad that I chose to wear a pair of sandals instead of heels tonight.

Klara gave me no time to respond to her invitation. She grabbed a hold of my hand and pulled me out along with her out onto the dance floor. It was no surprise that she ended up dancing with the guy again that I saw her with earlier. Now I started to feel really awkward just standing there, watching my sister. Instead of looking like such a fool, not knowing what I'm doing, in the middle of the dance floor, I mentally shrugged to myself and started to move my body a bit to make it look like I was dancing.

Once in awhile, a guy would come by me and dance with me for a little bit before leaving me. Most of those guys that danced with me said their thanks and then left. I think I have danced with at least five guys. I started to have a lot more fun than when I got here and wasn't paying any attention to how many guys came around to me.

The last guy that came around to dance with me actually stayed. He caught me off guard when both of his strong hands grabbed a hold of my hips from behind. I giggled a bit and continued to sway my hips from side to side.

It felt awkward to have my butt up against a guy and his crotch area, just grinding up against one another. But I always remind myself that I'm here to have fun, not to worry so much about everything.

The both of us continued to dance to one more song until he tapped my shoulder, causing me to slightly turn my head to look at him. It was a little hard to make out all of his facial features, despite so many flashing colored lights on the dance floor. I could at least see the outline of his face with the occasional flash of light on his face.

"Do you want to go sit down and have a drink?" he asked.

I didn't say a word, I only nodded my head.

The presence of his hands instantly disappeared from my hips, letting me go. But he ended up gently grabbing a hold of my hand and pulled me along through all of the people out on the dance floor. I started to look around to scope out my sister. Klara was nowhere to be seen along with that guy she has been all over.

We approached the bar where there were only a couple of people sitting down and having a drink. I sat down right next to the seat that he, the guy who enjoyed grinding with me a little too much on the dance floor a little bit earlier, sat down in. I turned my body slightly so I could have my full, attention on him.
