Maisie's POV

"Where are we going?"
"Nowhere, sweetie."

I sighed. Will my foster mom just stop stalling and actually tell me where we're going? We've been driving for so long, it's really late, I have school tomorrow. Not that I really cared. But I need to get good grades, I'm 15 by the way, work to get into a good college, become successful, find my birth parents.

"Alright Maisie, let's go." My foster mom said, parking the car in the middle of a grass field. It was so dark, and barely any street lights.

We both walked out, and she told me to follow her, walking farther out into the field. I thought it would be a farming area, but it was actually a suburban area. The grass field was just to keep flowers and plants and stuff to make it look nice I guess. I looked around and suddenly felt the grass on my face. It took me a couple of seconds to realize that my foster mom pushed me into the ground, before darting away back to the car. What the fuck?!

"What are you doing?!" I screamed at the top of my lungs.

"You're on your own little girl!" She shouted back at me.

I sat on the ground looking at her start the car and drive away.

Wow. So this is the second time I've been abandoned by parents. First my birth parents and now these foster parents. I wonder what's so wrong with me. Does anyone like me?

I laid back down and just stared at the starlight. It was peaceful. It calmed me down a bit. I didn't know what to do. But it made me forget everything. I just stared at the beauty of the stars. Nothing mattered when I drifted off, ready to just give up...

I woke up, but not in my bedroom. I was in a weirdly decorated warehouse. It was a warehouse, but instead of having big huge selves and all that storage things, it was decorated like a really big house.

"Look I think she's awake!" I heard a boy say. Then I suddenly remembered what happened before I dozed off.

I looked in front of me and saw a group of 4 people.

On the far left was a girl who with light brown hair that was in a messy braid and was very tall. On the middle left there was a boy noticeably smaller than her. He had dirty blonde hair that covered one eyebrow and was huddled against a taller boy, who had his arm wrapped around the small boy's shoulders. The taller boy had brown hair that hovered over his forehead. On the far right, kind of straying away from the rest of the group, was a young girl who looked about 13. She had very pretty dark wavy hair. She looked bored. Like she was unimpressed with me. Gee, isn't everyone.

I looked at her with unease, and it seemed like she noticed my nerves.

She smirked at me, before saying,
"Welcome to The Suicide Circle."

AUTHOR'S NOTE
So this is how Maisie ends up in the suicide circle. I'm going to be doing this for every character in the suicide circle, before I actually get into the story. But how they end up in the suicide circle is kind of important to character development, and not to mention just plain interesting.
So the order I'm writing how the characters end up in the suicide circle is on the order of who joined from latest to first. So Maisie was the last person to join the suicide circle, so I wrote hers first. Yeah I hope you get it.
