Reunion

"Dakota James McCoy. Grayson Bell. There was a call for you." The boys were told, as they sat in a one way windowed room.

They didn't say anything, just waited for more information.

"Do you know a girl named Katellia Jacques?"

"So...that's what happened..." Liana murmured as Maisie stared teary eyed at the screen.
"Are you okay?"

"I...I was born of...I was unwanted...right from the start..." Maisie choked out, the tears in her eyes now falling down her face.

Liana walked over to Maisie, ready to give a hug, but Maisie stumbled backward onto the floor, immediately starting to cry.
"Why...why...!"

"Maisie, Maisie! Breathe." Liana sat on the floor next to her, letting Maisie rest her head on her shoulder.

"Rape? I am just a child of rape? Is that all I am?! My mom, no wonder she gave me up! Why did I have to ruin her life?!"

Liana was silent, just held Maisie tighter.
"No."

Maisie looked up.
"What?"

"No. You are not just a child of...that. You are so much more."

"But-"

Maisie was cut off by a kiss.

Liana leaned farther forward, and Maisie relaxed into the kiss, closing her eyes as well and moving her lips together with Liana's.

Liana finally pulled away, and they were both left with rapid heartbeats.
"Sorry."

Maisie chuckled.
"It's okay. It's more than okay."

Liana looked at her.
"What are we?"

Maisie looked back, then looked down as she was thinking.

Suddenly the door burst open.

The girls both jumped, then looked at the men standing in the doorway.

"Liana Perkins? Maisie?"

The girls froze, just stared at them with anticipation.

"Do you know a girl named Katellia Jacques?"

Grayson and Dakota sat puzzled in a hospital waiting room, hands discreetly holding onto each other.

Patrol officers stood on either side of them, hands crossed and looking forward with a stern look that the boys were too scared to face.

So they looked down, feet tapping and hands sweating, wondering why they were even there.

A group of people entered, along with one more officer. They sounded panicked, and Dakota and Grayson looked up.

"Dakota James McCoy. Are you here?" The one officer announced.

Dakota opened his mouth to say something but the one officer next to him did for him.

"Dakota. There is a group of people who would like to see you."

"What?" Dakota stood up and looked at the anxious people behind the officer.
