Cake

Maisie's POV

I woke up in the warehouse, honestly I totally forgot what happened until I saw the clothes I was wearing.

Oh, right.

My head hurt, not from drinking, but from this ponytail on my head. I tugged at the hair tie and it snapped off, my hair finally relaxing as it fell down.

I looked around me and found Liana sitting on the couch eating cake, dressed in pajamas.

"Hello." She said, not taking her eyes off the TV.

"Hi."

There was an awkward silence, until I kept the conversation.

"Where is everyone?" I asked, noticing that Liana was the only one with me.

"Gray and Dakota are in there. Probably sleeping." She replied, nodding her head toward a door on the other side of the warehouse.

"Katell is probably coming back soon, she's always the last one."

"Why?" There are lots of things I don't know about Katell. I wonder why she never tells us anything.

"Honestly I don't really know. She gets mad whenever we ask." Liana answered.
"Cake?"

"No thanks. Why is Katell so secretive?"

Liana paused and stared at her cake. I was expecting her to give me a guess to my question, but all she said was "Mm...cake."

"Really, Liana?"

She shrugged.
"I like cake."
She ate another bite of her cake.
"But about your question, she doesn't really like to talk about her past. I don't know anything about how she got here, but it must be pretty bad."

"What must be pretty bad?"

I jumped when I heard a familiar voice, and I turned around to find Katell standing at the doorway of the warehouse entrance.

"My love for cake." Liana said, stroking the frosting with her fork.

"Of course." Katell rolled her eyes and walked over to Liana, dipping her finger into the frosting and sucking it.

"Katell, where were you?" I risked asking. But what was the worst she could do?

She just looked at me with no expression on her face.

"Uh...sorry..." I said, looking down.

"Don't be." She said in a monotone voice, slapping down a stack of money in front of me.

So I haven't updated in 5 days but it feels like a really long time lol
