Eren's P.O.V

I follow Levi to the meeting room. As he opens the door for me I enter the spacious room, I look around a big round table with black chairs, the walls white as always, big windows with nice views of the city, and a big projector.

"So Dr. Levi, why do you call me here for?" I question.

"I know what I'm going to say will sound irrational, but please don't take this in the bad way." I feel shivers running through my spine like I have a bad feeling about this.

"I don't need a partner." He said looking straight at me in the eyes.

"What? You don't need me?" I question.

"Eren, you don't have enough potential–"

"–Oh so you think I don't have the potential to become your partner!? Then why I am here huh!? The why make everyone to believe that we will make a great team work, and save many lives!" I feel my blood boiling from anger, I didn't came here so that this guy tell me that I don't have potential I only came here to kill his dad then I'll leave everything in peace. I won't let this guy ruin my plans no way, there's no way I will let him do that, I came this far and I'm not giving up.

"Eren listen. I'm fine by myself you can still work here as a doctor." Levi said.

"No you listen! You choose me as a partner, and now you're rejecting me!?" I glare at him, and feel like I'm in fire.

"I never chose you, I never did. . . my dad chose you which is totally different I told him that I don't need you as my partner that if you want to become a doctor here is fine, but he refuses he said that we're probably become humanities greatest doctors all around Japan, but I told him that I'm good by all myself, he didn't care about my option." He let go a big heavy sign.

"I'm not leaving this place! I will prove to you that I have the potential to be your partner!!" The last sentence I feel like I yell, but I didn't care.

"Now would you excuse me I have some work to do." I stop looking at him and make my way out of the room.

I was at lunch with Hangi like always, but the atmosphere feel pretty gloomy. But Hangi seems that she doesn't notice, always happy as ever!

"Eren, did you have a fight with Levi?" Hangi finally said a word after eating all her lunch, and pretty much mine too.

"How do you know?" I look up her.

"I ask him if he wants to eat lunch, but he has this grumpy face and reject like always, so I ask you instead but you seems so gloomy yet angry, and you accept it, but why you two fight?" I sigh that feels so good. Seems like I was holding to much air.

"Levi doesn't want me as his partner." I said not looking at her.

"Why is that? You two will make a good team! You have talent Eren!" She smile.

"Thanks, but he thinks I don't have the potential to be his partner." I sigh.

"As I though. . . you see Levi has been working all by himself since sixteen, and he doesn't like to depend on others that is why he treat us cold, because he thinks he is better by himself, but sometimes you need help from others. Levi has suffer a lot for him, his goal is to save many lives he can, but sometimes he fails and thinks that is his fault they died, and that is one reason why he always stays in the hospital. But Eren you can change him you can show him that you can be that person he has been waiting for, show the world that you can be better than Levi!" Her smile grow more and I smile back.

She's right. Sometimes you have to show that person that you have everything you need to be like them or even better. So let's give it a try.

"Mm! Let's do this, I want to show him I'm better than him!"
