Forbidden

Chapter 6:

Amasia, Brett and Liam with fifteen other people on their trip, landed to Goa somewhere around noon. The sun's rays were scathing as they made their way to their hotels. Amasia being over excited couldn't stop talking. She whined about the sun touching her skin along with being delighted that she would rather be no place else. She could finally be free for a while from the shackles she had when she was at home. Liam did everything in his power to ignore Amasia. He didn't sit with her in the plane, neither in the car when they were driving to the airport or the hotel. He didn't even stand near her during baggage claim. It's just a dream; you don't like her, she looks really good today though. She looks good. Shut up! You think that just because of your dream. This will pass, he said consoling himself. Brett was on cloud nine watching Amasia enjoying herself so much. He was ecstatic because Amasia was extremely happy. He had never seen her so overjoyed.

They reached their hotels and decided to meet in the lobby after an hour, so that everyone could freshen up. Amasia had her own room while Liam and Brett shared another with one more guy on the same corridor on the third floor.

"We have to go to the pool in the evening. The pool is big and the best part is that the children's pool is separate from the adult's pool, so no chaos! Yay!" exclaimed Amasia. She had always hated kids. She didn't like the way they would cry all the time and how they would talk about stupid stuff like which superhero was the best.

"I don't know how to swim. I don't want to just stand in the pool looking like an idiot" said Brett self conscious.

"You never listen to me. You are such an ass. What about you Liam? Will you come? I don't want to go by myself" informed Amasia hoping he would say yes.

"Umm, I'm not sure. I mean I can swim, but I just don't feel like it" said Liam making an excuse as the last thing Liam wanted to see was Amasia in a swim suit.

"Brett, you could drink and roam around in the pool and Liam, we could race. Oh come on, don't make me beg" pleaded Amasia while the thought of Amasia in her lingerie came to Liam's mind. Brett and Liam finally agreed, but they planned on going to sinquerim beach first and then going for a swim in the pool.

Sinquerim beach was filled with people in their swim suits. There were beach beds far away from the shore and various water sports like parasailing, banana boat and riding a motor boat. The sun was much kinder now and the water cold. "We have to go on the banana boat!" exclaimed Amasia.

"No way! Are you trying to kill me?"Asked Brett mockingly.

"If I wanted to kill you, you wouldn't be alive right now" said Amasia teasing Brett. Amasia somehow managed to convince Liam and Brett to ride the banana boat.

"Alright, alright but we'll tell him to drop us in the shallow area. I don't want to drown" said Brett half scared.

"What kind of stupid talk is that? You'll be given safety jackets. You'll float right back up" said Amasia now completely annoyed with Brett. They were next in line for the banana boat ride while a dog came up to them and started sniffing Brett. Brett panicked as he had been afraid of dogs since he was a child because a dog had once attacked him.

"Oh god! What fresh hell is this? Guys, make him go away. Please! Please!" exclaimed Brett.

"Calm down! He won't do anything. He's probably looking for someone to play with. Or maybe he's hungry" said Liam trying to figure out what the dog wanted. Liam took out some biscuits from his bag and tried to feed it to the dog. Amasia was pleased by this gesture. She loved animals, sometimes even more than humans. In fact, sometimes she would judge someone just by whether that person liked animals or not.
